Maintain an understanding of how operates its business and work to fulfill objectives. You'll be an information resource for both employees and supervisors, while managing day to day, monthly and annual duties and responsibilities.
Duties and responsibilities
Be the first point of contact for all HR-related, employee benefit and payroll queries
Administer annual open enrollment benefit meetings
Maintain all HR and Benefit files
Administer HR-related documentation, such as contracts of employment
Ensure the relevant HR database is up to date, accurate and complies with legislation
Assist in the recruitment process
Place on-line ads for new recruits on Craigslist, as well as other recruitment websites
Set up interviews and issue relevant correspondence
Perform onboarding of all new employees
Assist with companywide bi-weekly payroll
Ensure daily time card accuracy in ADP/Kronos time management system
Ensure vacation accrual database is accurate in ADP
Manage payroll deductions and garnishment programs and orders 401(k), COBRA, WC
Generate various analysis and or projects
Liaison with Insurance companies and manage insurance related issues/renewals
Prepare and maintain current forms
Provide direction and insure performance reviews are performed in a timely manner
Assist with audit preparation on an annual basis
Prepare manual checks for terminated employees and other employee adjustments
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a self-starter
Assist with company functions
Qualifications
Professional Certification 2-4-year degree or equivalent
Experience: At least 5 years experience in Human resources/Payroll
Experience in a production environment preferred but not required
2 years experience with ADP payroll system, including KRONOS
time & attendance
5 years of experience with Micro Soft Word, Excel and Power point
