Human Resource Dimensions has been engaged to place an HR Manager for a manufacturing client in Solon, OH

The HR Manager will develop, promote and implement innovative HR solutions to meet business needs and increase organizational efficiency. Responsible for providing direction and assistance with employment, salary administration, payroll, benefits, performance management, employee relations, labor relations, culture development, employment law, and workforce planning.

Job Duties

* Coaches employees, supervisors and colleagues assisting them in problem resolution and to improve performance. Coach, advise and recommend corrective actions

* Handles all labor relations responsibilities i.e. labor/management committee, grievances, arbitrations, contingency planning, negotiations, etc.

* Manages the recruitment process for full-time and temporary staff utilized in our facility.

* Has oversight and involvement in all hourly hiring practices. Administers the hiring process for all employee groups. Supports salaried hiring process

* Administers intern program

* Partners with the training team to support the on-boarding process and integration of employees

* Maintains ATS, performance management system and HRIS

* Updates and maintains an effective workforce analysis and plan for addressing gaps

* Oversees the Payroll and Benefits functions

* Assists in development or re-engineering of innovative processes and systems (Reward & Recognition, attendance, and other people programs)

* Directly manages all contractual issues including execution of the contract, etc.

* Directly involved in responsibilities /actions related to Prerequisite and Food Safety Programs (SQF)

Requirements

* Bachelors Degree preferred and 5 years of progressive HR Experience; SPHR certification is preferred

* 5 years experience working in a union facility handling grievances, arbitrations, negotiations, and 3rd party charges

* Operational experience to enhance user / trainer interface, employee relations, and culture

* Three five years problem solving, project management, supervision, and technical writing experience

* Computer Skills: SAP, MS Office, and database programs
