An integral part of the Global Trimble HR team, the HR Director will be responsible for all global HR related activity for our Emerging Markets Sector located in Westminster, CO. This leadership role will be responsible for executing our strategic global HR plan for this Sector including all Talent Management programs and HR business partner work. This role will be responsible for coordinating the HR strategy for this Sector around the world relying on our global HR colleagues in the various countries. The ideal candidate must work collaboratively across all Trimble Sector’s and other businesses plus build strong working relationships with the corporate staff. He/she will combine HR expertise and thought-leadership for this critical role with a pragmatic, hands-on approach to deliver best-in-class HR management and consulting to the Sector SVP. The Emerging Market Sector has over 1,000 global employees. This candidate must be willing to take ownership and accountability of assigned projects and responsibilities and work effectively with our HR team members around the world to ensure all Trimble HR goals and objectives are met. This role will be located in the Westminster, CO office and report directly to Chief Human Resources Officer who is located in our Westminster, CO office and also report indirectly to the SVP & Sector Head of the Emerging Markets Sector.

The ideal candidate will have an overall combined minimum of 10-15 years of comprehensive HR functional & business partner leadership experience focused on being a proactive, strategic partner with business General Managers. The candidate will help develop and facilitate the implementation of appropriate change management initiatives and will review current HR programs to ensure adherence to company and Sector goals. This role will be responsible for developing and administering innovative programs to retain and attract talent within the Sector as well. As the HR leader for a major Trimble Sector, the ideal candidate will need to have solid experience within most of the human resource functional areas including talent acquisition, change management, learning and development, compensation management, succession planning, target setting, employee relations and performance management.

Primary Duties:

Key HR leadership role on the Sector Management team and the global HR team with responsibility for all the Sector employees. Partnering with the sector management team on key business & HR initiatives is critical in this role ensuring the HR strategy is built around the business strategy.

Leads Sector HR team in the critical assessment of staff against industry trends and strategic initiatives. Actively manages the identification and development of key talent across the Sector driving high levels of retention.

Develops recruiting and retention strategies for the Sector with our global talent acquisition strategy.

Assesses broad organizational gaps and identifies and works with Sector management and general managers on plans to fill the gaps.

Acts as employee relations expert as needed.

Identifies, analyzes, develops, and implements training and organizational development programs with Corporate L&D function specific needed for the Sector.

Collaborates with business leaders and global HR partners to implement Trimble initiatives across all HR functions.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in HR/management or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Professional certification a plus.

Minimum 10-15 years in increasingly more responsible HR leadership roles. Global high tech experience preferred with direct international HR experience.

Ability to lead, motivate and influence others in a global, matrix organization structure. Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong employee relations and management partnering skills. Strong project management and high analytical capabilities with proven ability to deliver results. Proven ability to create consensus in a multinational structure. Knowledge of the laws and regulations governing global employment practices.

Demonstrated formal and informal leadership ability.

Experience working in a matrixed and decentralized organizational structure is highly desirable.

International living and working experience highly desirable.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally is required.
