This includes partnering with HR Service Center, Employee Relations, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Compensation, Benefits, Leave Management and all other departments that interact with payroll. Additionally, the Payroll Manager will build, maintain, and improve processes and systems to support payroll and work with all other business areas to ensure that all payroll applications and reporting functions meet current and future needs. \u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EOther responsibilities include: \u003C/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003EOversight of the payroll staff responsible for processing, reviewing and auditing payroll in accordance with all statutes, regulations, policies, procedures and deadlines.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EEnsure departmental performance meets or exceeds expectations.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EMonitor the workflow of staff members to ensure timelines and accuracy of payroll processing.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EImplement and train payroll team on changes to all company pay practices\u003B coordinate with other areas of HR and Corporate Communications for effective company rollout\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EDevelop and update payroll and time and labor system user procedures, guidelines, runbook, defensive queries, documentation, etc.. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EPrepare and support a variety of scheduled and ad hoc reports and queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EServe as point of contact and leader to various HR Technology related projects, assignments, testing, and upgrades.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EAct as process validator for payroll SOX controls, including responsibility for updating the process flows and narratives and ensuring all SOX and internal controls are continuously performed and documented by the payroll team.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EOversee all payroll tax audits and support internal and external audits of departmental activities. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EWorks with state agencies, tax department, legal and other departments as necessary to coordinate efforts and provide information. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EMaintain working relationship with payroll vendor. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EEnsure that all payroll system and time and labor system changes are tested and confirmed as accurate before authorizing move to production. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EMonitor and approve tax amendments. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EParticipates in any upgrades/implementations of all payroll software. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EAnalyze complicated adjustments and monitor corrections to ensure the accuracy of the employee records.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ECoordinate all requests from accounting team to ensure the data requested is complete and delivered timely. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ESet up new payroll entities and integrate employee data for all acquired companies into the existing payroll databases. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ELead payroll M\u0026amp\u003BA activity\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EResponsible for managing the year\u002Dend processing of payrolls and adjustments to ensure the company W2’s are correct and processed timely. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EPerforms such duties as the position’s supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.\u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E\u003C/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003EBA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or related curriculum.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E10 years of experience in payroll and/or HR, with 5 years of experience in a Payroll management role.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ESolid working knowledge of enterprise\u002Dwide HRIS/Payroll systems required.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EExpert in multi\u002Dstate payrolls\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EExpert in federal, state and local tax reporting requirements\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EProficient with Peoplesoft payroll and time and labor software and strong knowledge of Peoplesoft reporting and analytics is highly preferred.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EExperience in stock administration payroll processing and year\u002Dend adjustments for imputed income.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EExperience in union payroll processing, including knowledge of union business rules and benefits.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EPayroll Certification preferred.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EIn\u002Dhouse payroll experience\u003B PeopleSoft v9.2 preferred.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EMust be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EStrong understanding of payroll processes and payroll reporting analytics.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EExcellent team work, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills including the ability to communicate with technical and non\u002Dtechnical users is necessary.
