HR Manager, Villa Rica At Sugar Foods we are a family and our success relies on the collaborative efforts of all our associates working together as one team. To that end we believe a strong HR presence on our facility floor is critical to the continued development and growth of our people and our business. We are looking for an engaging and flexible HR Manager willing to take on the challenge of evolving our HR function to meet the needs of our growing business. Located just outside Atlanta, our Villa Rica facility is our flagship plant where we produce, package and distribute a wide range of commercial and consumer salad toppings and sweeteners. We are looking for an HR Manager who is a business partner and can effectively support our facility leader in managing and continuously improving our people initiatives. Your mandate will be to enhance the work-life experience of our family, reduce turnover, and foster growth opportunities. Your focus will be to: * Engage our associates out on the plant floor with purpose o Walk the floor every day and engage with associates to understand needs o Manage pulse/engagement surveys o Conduct group feedback meetings and town halls o Continuously communicate with our leaders and keep them in the loop * Recruit and retain top talent o Collaborate with our leaders to identify talent gaps and future needs o Collaborate with our leaders to draft staffing plans to meet needs o Tap our team to identify referrals o Lead targeted recruiting efforts o Manage external recruiting vendors, temp staffing agencies, and headhunters * Develop, implement and manage associate onboarding o Learn the facility, the areas, the divisions and the roles o Evaluate current onboarding o Develop and implement a new onboarding program * Collaborate with our facility leadership team on continually developing our people o Develop career path options and growth opportunities for high potential associates o Identify high potential associates * Support our facility leadership team in managing employee relations o Keep policies up-to-date and in-line with our culture o Provide guidance to our managers and supervisors * Manage payroll, benefits, and administrative areas of HR o Ensure our associates are paid on time o Manage time and attendance o Monitor and report insurance claims * Manage, communicate and continually update policies and procedures to reflect our culture and keep us safe * Develop HR team o Coach members of the HR team to be business partners o Grow the team to expand their capabilities Position Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred; Master’s or MBA degree is a plus * 8 years’ progressive Human Resource experience * Comprehensive understanding of local, state and federal employment laws * Experience in recruiting, onboarding, and talent development * Knowledge and experience with ADP Workforce Now, Kronos and Microsoft Office * Professional in Human Resource (PHR) or (SPHR) preferred
