Profile

Key responsibilities include performing routine and semi-routine work involving a variety of professional assignments within the Human Resources Department and requiring use and application of Human Resources Information Systems, Employment Law, and Human Resources practices/policies. This is a 10-week program primarily supporting the Talent Acquisition team.

* Works collaboratively with HR team members and provides overall assistance and research support to HR policies, recruitment, retention, HRIS and compliance
* Provides project support and administrative back-up to HR and Talent Acquisition systems to ensure accurate information regarding employee training, employee data, and candidate information
* Ensures compliance with EEO and OFCCP rules and regulations in recruiting, selection, and hires
* Researches, selects, and attends Job Fairs and college career fairs for diversity outreach
* Assists in the administration of various HR programs and policies, including new employee orientation, separation of employees, document compliance and audits
* Processes new requisitions and approvals through Taleo Applicant Tracking System, including obtaining all required approvals
* Posts openings internally and externally on company website and other position-appropriate venues
* Reviews applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements, forwards qualified candidates to hiring manager, and may conduct prescreening interviews
* Schedules and coordinates interviews with all participating interviewers
* Assists in performing reference checks, initiating background checks, and drug screens for potential employees
* Negotiates offers, relocations, start dates, etc., within approved boundaries
* Coordinates candidate travel, if required
* Compiles data and provides regular reports on status of open positions and recruitment metrics
* Perform other duties, as assigned
* Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards.

To be eligible, the candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and must have completed at least 60 semester hours in a Business related discipline. Must be in good academic standing and have CGPA of 2.7 or higher. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.

The position requires attention to detail, individual drive and flexibility to work in a high performing environment. The successful candidate must have a solid track record of accomplishment, demonstrated business aptitude, solid analytical and problem solving skills, and demonstrated teamwork experience. The candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills.

Successful completion of the internship program will follow with a presentation to management and fellow interns. The presentation will include an overview of what the intern learned from the program, the projects worked, and the intern's overall experience.

Employees in this position must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat.

US Citizenship required. As a Government Contractor, this position requires the employee to have access to premises which are, OR requires the employee to perform duties that are, subject to national security requirements of the United States under government contracts that impose US Citizenship requirements for such positions.

* Must be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a public trust position (if required for the position).
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (if required for the position).
* Must be able to work weekends, other shifts and overtime as required.
* The essential physical requirements of the position will be reviewed with the applicant during the interview.
* Some travel will be required.
* Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instruction.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data.
