Job Description Location: Donaldsonville, La Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm Job Description: Looking for a candidate with benefits experience & knowledge of how benefits tie into payroll. The successful candidate will verify how the benefit enrollment information received from the insurance vendor coincides with their invoices. Therefore, reconciling billing statements to benefit enrollment. Able to rectify errors with employee benefit deductions in their payroll using Paycom and ensuring employee benefit deductions are correct. Scheduling new employee benefits meetings and entering a high volume of employment records into our HR database. Job Requirements: 1 years of experience in HR Benefits\/Payroll Understanding of regulatory framework (including, but not limited to: ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and benefit-related DOL and IRS regulations) Strong project management skills, including the ability to work independently with attention to detail and sense of urgency Ability to set priorities and coordinate multiple projects and deadlines at the same time. Professional with a keen sense of discretion and a background in data entry Ability to Follow detailed processes and ask questions when in doubt Listen, read and communicate information and ideas so others will understand Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong Organize and prioritize a high volume of work while working with others or independently Thoroughly complete work tasks while paying attention to details Work in fast paced environment Collaborate with others and have a cooperative, team mentality Support ethics and data privacy Provide quality interactions with internal and external sources Input data and verify information Extensively and effectively communicate while being empathetic Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Be an efficient and effective listener Have exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills Uphold professionalism Be proficient in Microsoft Office Have a desire to serve others. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with administering the worksite employee benefits programs including: Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, Life Insurance, Dependent Life Insurance, STD and 401(k) Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork Create and maintain employee benefit files and other record keeping Draft and ensure accuracy of benefit communication materials Coordinate delivery of new hire kits and benefit renewal packages Assist with maintenance of related materials Assist with, COBRA Administration and 401(k) Administration Enter and maintain information on HRIS from a system\/company level Follow up with any documentation not received from the new hire orientations Conduct new hire benefit orientations Reviews and approve benefit transactions for new hires and qualifying events Assist with and prepare for employee education meetings Work with an outside broker to gather information to set up and manage the benefit plans properly Execute open enrollments, benefit plan transfers and renewals Provide timely, accurate, courteous, and appropriate responses to worksite employees, and insurance carriers Communicate with broker and carriers to process transactions and resolve issues Investigate discrepancies and provide information in non-routine situations in a timely manner.
