Excellence is the goal in caring for our team members, customers, and natural resources.rnIFG is a growing company with 7 regional sawmills located in North Idaho and Montana that values employees and holds a reputation for high quality products.rn rnJob Summary:rn rn**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is currently seeking an HR Generalist to join our team.rnReporting to the Director of HR, the scope is to serve as a liaison and business partner with the management team by assisting in the day to day administration of the HR function, including payroll, benefits, personnel records, recruiting/staffing, onboarding, employee relations, safety, training, and company policies.  Must exercise the utmost discretion in sensitive and confidential matters.rnSpecial Note-This facility is located in rural Montana.  Due to this, someone with a strong recruiting background and the ability to think outside the box when it comes to recruiting is preferred.rn rnEssential Functions: rn rnrnAssist the team with the recruiting process including posting jobs, screening candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews and pre-employment testing process rnAssist with new hire orientation and processing of new hire, status change and termination paperworkrnBe a champion for employee & workplace safetyrnMaintain accurate and confidential human resource files, including personnel, benefits, medical, payroll, recruiting and affirmative action rnCoordinate employee coaching, recognition and discipline as neededrnBe a business partner for the management team on personnel and safety issuesrnAssist with safety and HR related training and tracking as needed rnCoordinate community involvement and employee events, including company newsletterrnProvide support for various HR audits, projects, mailings, employee communication, etc.rnAdminister employee benefits including enrollment, new hire orientation and premium payment reconciliation and processingrnResolve benefits, claims and eligibility questions with vendors and employees as neededrnMaintain payroll, including data entry, timekeeping, filing and records compliancernAssist employees with benefits and payroll questions including status changes and other general inquiries for medical, life insurance, 401k plan, EAP, etc. rnMaintain & produce reports from the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) as requestedrnAssist with the processing and administration of all leave of absence requests, disability paperwork, including medical, personal, disability, FMLArnConduct employee related investigations as needed rnAdminister employee wellness program and coordinate activitiesrnConsistently work at acceptable production levelsrnOther duties as neededrnrn rn rn rnQualifications: rn rnrnBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field is strongly preferred, while experience can be supplemented for education.
