Hastings is seeking a Human Resources Intern, for credit and unpaid, to assist in the HR Department 10-15 hours per week.
Assist with administrative duties within the HR department.
Assist in recruiting efforts including sourcing candidates and posting and updating open jobs.
Process employment applications and maintain a tracking log; assist in scheduling interviews.
Assist with the on-boarding process including checking references of applicants, initiating background checks, job offers, and processing new hire paperwork.
Audit, create, and maintain employee personnel files.
Coordinate employee retention activities and events
Assist with the tracking of employee compliance with completing monthly training.
Perform any other duties established by the Human Resources Director.
Currently enrolled at an accredited post-secondary institution and pursing a degree in Human Resources or related field
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in all aspects of job responsibilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong team player with outstanding customer service skills
Strong intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Willing to work in Hastings, MN and Rosemount, MN
Flexible schedule and able to work 10-15 hours per week
