ACUTRONIC is the world leader in the development, design and manufacture of precision motion simulators for the aeronautics, space, defense, automotive, and consumer industries. Our motion simulators are used to test and calibrate inertial sensors (e.g. gyroscopes and accelerometers), Inertial Navigation Systems, stabilized electro-optical systems, Electronic Stability Control systems, and the flight motion of missiles. Our core products range from one-axis rate tables for the automotive industry, to two and three-axis motion simulators for the calibration of Inertial Measurement Units, up to five-axis Flight Motion Simulators (FMS) for the defense industry. ACUTRONIC is seeking an experiencedHuman Resources Administratorto manage its HR needs, ensure compliance with all employment-related laws, and support management in its strategic growth plans. Your roles/responsibilities will include: Direct responsibility for the overall administration and coordination of HR functions at Acutronic USA Inc. in Pittsburgh. Direct responsibility for managing and processing all payroll, benefits, healthcare, and 401K payments; Advising management on employee compensation issues, including annual salary benchmarking/surveys; Recommending new approaches, policies and procedures to support the company’s growth aspirations; Managing and improving the company’s quarterly performance review system; Developing, recommending and implementing personnel policies and procedures, including the employee handbook and other policies and procedures; Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws. Developing and maintaining an affirmative action program; filing EEO-1 annually; maintaining other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations. Conducting recruitment efforts for all new hire requirements, including writing and managing advertisements; working with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conducting reference checks; extending job offers; employee onboarding; conducting new-employee orientations; Monitoring and supporting management with career-path programs; Employee relations counseling; Rewriting job descriptions as necessary; Conducting exit interviews; Participating in administrative staff meetings; Maintaining organizational charts; The position will report to the Group’s CFO (located overseas) and to the President & CEO of Acutronic USA Inc. (located on-site in Pittsburgh). You can expect regular, frequent interactions with managers at every level of the organization. Your qualifications/skills should include: A Bachelor’s degree; 5 years of HR experience; Sound understanding and experience with employment law; Highly detail oriented; the ideal candidate should be someone who strives for perfection across all tasks; Strong communication skills (written and spoken); Conflict resolution skills; ability to motivate and coach employees; Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills;Experience with modern HR tools and strategies; Able to ‘bridge the gap’ between traditional technical employees and younger new hires; Able to work across cultures and coordinate with multiple managers, including some that may be located overseas; Strong time-management skills; self-starter; highly motivated; Occasional travel required; Must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident. Position type / physical demand: This is a full-time position. The company operates on a ‘9/80’ schedule, whereby employees work 80 hours over 9 business days and have every second Friday off. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear.
