Profile

The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for administering, performing, and coordinating HR functions and assisting with the recruitment process including recruiting Teller positions as needed with direction from the Human Resources Officer. Recruiting is defined as proper usage of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to review applicants, pre-screening calls to qualified applicants, and interviewing process. The HR Specialist is responsible for all administrative functions of the department including onboarding, benefits presentation, and fingerprinting.

Qualifications:

*Associate Degree required. Will consider commensurate experience.
*1-3 years experience with HR recruiting techniques to include ATS and HRIS (Lawson preferred) required; minimum of 1 year prior administrative experience required. Prior customer service experience in retail or banking environment preferred.
*Must display professional communication skills and ability to deal with all levels of management.
*Must be able to use discretion in dealing with confidential matters.
*Must be creative in approach to problems and issues.
*Must be able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks, follow up, and focus on details.
*Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel. (Candidate will be tested.)

Principle Activities and Duties:

*Recruit for Teller level positions including interviewing, discussing candidates with hiring manager, make offers under the direction of the HR Officer.
*Responsible for job postings, applicant tracking and hiring activities in Kenexa along with onboarding functions.
*Conduct new employee orientation to include fingerprinting and benefits.
*Draft routine letter, memos, emails and other correspondence in response to inquiries, complaints and/or requests for assistance.
*Participate in educational opportunities, read professional publications and maintain a good understanding of changing HR best practices.
*Complete special assignments including researching additional outreach opportunities, assisting in training of interns within the department and other tasks as assigned.
