Volt Workforce Solutions is working with an established company in the central coast that is looking for a HR Generalist. Some of the essential functions include:
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Conducts recruitment efforts: coordinates requests, writes and places advertisements, maintains relationships with temporary agencies, screens resumes, administers pre-employment tests and schedules candidate agenda’s.
Ensure that all terminations are consistent with current law and corporate policy.
Administer and maintain various activities designed to achieve and maintain a high level of employee morale.
Coordinate daily employee relations activities to minimize employee complaints and assist with assurance of prompt and fair settlement of employee complaints.
Maintains human resources information system records and compiles reports from the database.
Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefits information to employees.
Provides coaching in matters of employee discipline, absentee control, grievances, and other similar problems.
Assists with conducting disciplinary and other investigations.
Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Complete all required documentation timely and accurately.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Use Lean Enterprise methods to reduce waste and complexity in all processes.
Acts as integral member of the Human Resources group, in support of the defined Human Resources and TSS Company mission, vision, values, and goals.
Shares professionally related talents with colleagues or staff within the company.
Perform all other duties and responsibilities that are reasonably assigned from time to time by the employer or its designated representative.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or any relevant degree, or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of HR experience.
