Profile

Description Reports to the manager, human resources. Performs a variety of clerical duties related to human resources administration, in compliance with government and management directives. Essential Functions: 1. Receive visitors and telephone calls; handle a variety of clerical duties related to human resources and direct non routine business to proper staff for consideration. 2. Recruit and screen applicants and extend approved employment offers; ensure applicants hold required licenses or certifications, if applicable. 3. Ensure adequate personnel records are maintained. 4. Coordinate employee orientation on company benefits, policies and procedures. 5. Maintain calendar and schedule appointments. 6. Type reports and maintain records. 7. Collate and distribute paychecks. 8. Research, report, and track unemployment claims. 9. Provide follow up correspondence to applicants and agencies regarding employment status; verify employment. 10. Enter all new hire information and other personnel changes into the computer; properly notify payroll and maintain personnel records. 11. Process all new hire paperwork. 12. Process all required computer reports for management use. 13. Monitor and send 180 day assessment on newly hired staff; send evaluation reports to supervisor. 14. Conduct yearly driving record checks on all employees who drive government vehicles. 15. Provide positive, quality customer services to students, staff and other center customers. 16. Participate in student employability programs and activities. 17. Support and promote center zero tolerance policies. 18. Promote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions. 19. Maintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices. It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management. Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and two years related clerical experience required, including word processing and spreadsheets. Excellent written and verbal communications skills also required. Valid driveru2019s license with an acceptable driving record.
