Compass is seeking an experienced, hands-on human resources generalist to work predominantly for a client in the construction and commercial landscaping business. The client is located in Westmoreland County. Experience in construction, manufacturing or oil\/gas industries along with talent acquisition, HRIS implementation and training preferred. We work with our consultants to determine the best schedule for you and our clients and the best compensation and benefits package to meet your needs.Compass consultants can choose the path of generalists or craft specialists. The work we do includes:Design, develop and implement custom human resource strategies and plans that contribute to the overall success of our clients.Provide outsourced, consultative HR support to clients in all aspects of talent acquisition, compensation, benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, employee engagement, organizational change, compliance and technology applications for use in HR and payroll.Evaluate and assess organizational needs and talent to provide optimal, customized solutions with consideration for market-position and best practices.Review client's current job descriptions, policies and procedures and revise in accordance with current state\/federal regulations; customize future policies and procedures to meet the needs of each unique client.Independently conduct full life cycle recruiting and\/or assist company recruiters in hiring top notch candidates for your assigned clients.Review compensation practices of clients to create structures and all types of incentive plans. Uncover any potential unfair pay practices and\/or assist in the implementation of a formal compensation structure alongside Compass subject matter experts.Review client's current benefit offerings, provide suggestions on areas of improvement, ensure client is meeting all compliance related items and advise on any gaps.Collaborate and advise clients on employee related issues, investigate potentially litigious situations and make suggestions on way to remedy\/eliminate any potential risk.Promote the effective use of performance management, learning and development processes\/systems to improve and enhance employee productivity and achievement.Develop and implement integrated talent solutions (e.g., training, communications, systems, processes, tools, metrics and internal partnerships) with external clients.Provide outsourced, consultative HR services on-site, by phone or email on an as-needed or scheduled basis.What You Need:Bachelor's Degree required.Minimum of five (5) years in a professional role with progressive experience and responsibilities required.Master's degree in similar fields or coursework towards and advanced degree preferred.PHR or SPHR certification and\/or SHRM's CP\/SCP certification preferred or progressively pursuing.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with an ever-changing schedule and client base.Ability to work from home and at client sites.Travel required; must have driver's license and reliable transportation.
