What to expect:
The Lead Compensation Analyst plays an integral role in the design, development, implementation, and administration of Martin Marietta's compensation programs. The role provides subject matter expertise and project management leadership in base pay and incentive pay programs to support the attraction and retention of top talent. This position will consult with compensation leadership, business leaders, and HR representatives to support fair, equitable, compliant and responsible compensation practices.

As a Lead Compensation Analyst, a typical day might include:

  • Developing and monitoring multiple compensation project timelines, roles, responsibilities, and resources and alerting compensation leadership to risks and contingencies to project success.
  • Leading projects or project sub-streams on compensation initiatives such as career framework development, systems implementations, structure updates and incentive processes.
  • Partnering with HR and business leaders on complex compensation challenges and determining appropriate solutions and/or next steps.
  • Serving as a mentor and advisor to compensation analysts in day-to-day hourly and salaried compensation practices such as reviewing offers, administering pay increase processes and delivering education and training to stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compensation programs are administered in compliance with policies and government regulations through audits, reports, publications and ongoing education.

  • Knowledge, skills and abilities needed to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in social sciences, business or mathematics.
  • Professional certification in compensation (e.g., CCP) is strongly preferred.
  • Five to seven years' experience in broad-based compensation administration with demonstrated ability in providing guidance and counsel to leaders and employees.
  • Demonstrated ability in handling multiple tasks, shifting priorities and ambiguity while remaining flexible and open to course corrections.
  • Ability to use mathematics and data manipulation expertise in Excel spreadsheets (e.g., concatenation, v-lookups, and pivot tables) to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team, with initiative and
