Job Overview: The Director of Professional Recruitment is responsible for leading their team to deliver high caliber candidates to Macy's Corporate Services. This director will develop full cycle recruiting strategies to result in qualified and diverse talent pipelines. This position develops the most effective, economical and appropriate recruiting channels and methods. Works in partnership with employment brand marketing to ensure strategic decisions will target candidates in the most appealing, efficient and cost effective manner. Perform other duties as assigned. This position is based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Essential Functions: • Lead a team of recruiters in identifying, attracting and hiring the best talent from the marketplace into Macy's. • Ensure recruiters maintain and build a pipeline of qualified candidates for future job openings through participation in talent communities and key social media efforts. • Continually develop recruiting team's skills. • Provide market intelligence, creative sourcing, screening, and evaluation of candidates with a concentration on diversity recruiting strategies. • Develop a network in the marketplace through industry contacts, association memberships, community outreach, etc. to assist in the recruitment of qualified candidates. • Provide strategic guidance to all Macy's Inc. recruiting functions. • Ensure exceptional candidate experience. • Be the point of contact between business functions and central recruitment team and prioritize workload. • Ensures all recruiting activities consistent with organization's policies and standards. • Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality. Qualifications: Education/Experience: • Bachelor's Degree from accredited university required. • Recruitment and Sourcing experience necessary; 3 years of prior experience preferred. Communication Skills: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills: • Must have above average mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Reasoning Ability: • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Physical Demands: • This position involves extended periods of sitting and the extensive use of computer and the office equipment. • May involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Other Skills: • Organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities in a fast paced, high pressure environment. • Strong team player and collaborator. • Excellent attention to detail. • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities. • Working knowledge of ATS and/or CRM would be considered an asset.
