Tempo by Hilton Times Square is looking for
Director of Human Resources
to lead their team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of director level experience, culture building skills, and the ability to work within and manage a collective bargaining agreement.
Designed by WATG and Mancini Duffy, the 36-floor Tempo by Hilton Times Square at TSX Broadway will feature 661 rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, offering views of the city and lights of Times Square. The sky lobby, located on the 11th floor, will include communal working spaces as well as a fitness centre and hydration station.
Dining venues will comprise a restaurant with menu items “fit for fuelling for the day ahead”, a bar and lounge offering small plates alongside both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and an outdoor dining terrace overlooking Times Square. The hotel has also partnered with Australian-inspired coffee roaster Bluestone Lane for espresso drinks, teas and juices.

Director of Human Resources
is responsible for directing and administering the Human Resources function in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
What will I be doing?
As a Director of Human Resources, you would be responsible for directing and administering the Human Resources function in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Oversee and administer all Human Resources functions to include, but not limited to, recruiting, training and development, wage/benefit administration, compliance with statutory requirements, team member relations, labor relations and contract compliance, performance evaluations, workers compensation and safety, affirmative action compliance, employment processes and general leadership guidance and support.
Provide assistance, guidance and counseling to the General Manager, leadership staff and line team members.
Develop, implement, and administer policies and programs related to the management of all hotel personnel to ensure the maintenance of a positive, productive, fair and consistent employment environment.
Manage all team member and labor relations; if hotel has a collective bargaining agreement, this will include negotiating contracts and settlements, handling grievances, mediations, and arbitrations.
Participate in and lead meetings.

The annual salary range for this role is $170,000 - $180,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
