Amgen is looking for a Talent Acquisition Lead for the Intercontinental Region. The Talent Acquisition lead is accountable for translating business priorities and workforce planning initiatives into meaningful talent strategies and action plans for the Intercontinental Region, which covers Amgen\u2019s affiliates in Canada, Latin America (Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina) and TMEA (Turkey, GCC, Levant, Egypt, Maghreb and South Africa) as well as the Regional HQ that is based in Thousand Oaks, California. Responsibilities:Responsible for the region-wide Talent Acquisition strategy as well as Intercontinental Region Employee Value PropositionStay abreast of Amgen\u2019s business priorities and current and future talent needs. Advise HR and the business on what we should be doing to get ahead of these needs. Translate these insights into action and drive results including horizon scanning for current and possible future positions for proactive bench strengthAssess external labor market conditions, develop a deep understanding of our internal talent pipeline, and as a result, develop effective, talent acquisitions strategies, recruiting channels and methods that are up to date and consistent across the regionProvide guidance, metrics, insights and recommendations to the HRBP teams in the countries, the function, and to senior level business clients, including improvements in Time to Fill, Background Verification process, quality of new hires as well as consistent onboardingSeek out and introduce new innovative recruitment practices that will address the demands of the affiliates.Work in close co-ordination with global mobility, compensation and benefits as well as talent department to ensure flawless candidate experienceConsult on workforce planning and other key initiativesPartner closely with the Recruiting Process Outsource vendor staff as well as external vendors that support the regionAccountable for OFCCP compliance and ensuring all legal compliance of Amgen\u2019s Talent Acquisition processesBasic Qualifications Doctorate degree and 2 years of Human Resources experienceORMaster\u2019s degree and 4 years of Human Resources experienceORBachelor\u2019s degree and 6 years of Human Resources experienceORAssociate\u2019s degree and 10 years of Human Resources experiencePreferred Qualifications Bachelor\u2019s degreeGlobal experience with full life cycle recruiting in a large, complex, global organization \u2013 in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology companyDemonstrated comfort with ambiguity and organizational change is critical for success in this positionProven experience delivering results by driving innovation and exhibiting subject matter expertise in order to influence talent decisionsDemonstrated project management skills, including ability to manage diverse, cross-functional teams across time zonesStrong written\/oral communication and presentation skillsStrong analytical skills, problem solving abilities, and the ability to think strategicallyAbility to understand, balance, and articulate both tactical and strategic planning issuesProactive, collaborative, and persuasive team and project leadership, including influencing and negotiation skillsExercises discretion, ability to work independently and prioritize across multiple projects and handle diverse assignments simultaneouslyProven track record engaging key stakeholders and developing effective partnerships across different functions and locations.Amgen is committed to unlocking the potential of biology for patients suffering from serious illnesses by discovering, developing, manufacturing and delivering innovative human therapeutics.
