What We’re Looking For:
The Senior Learning and Development Facilitator is an experienced training facilitator who manages the training creation and implementation process for the training of our internal teams. They facilitate high-quality, innovative sessions with dynamic and adaptive facilitation skills, and utilize evaluation data to strategically enhance course materials. They will also leverage their adult learning experience and training/facilitation expertise to analyze, identify, develop and implement improvements to our current training processes and curriculum while also assisting with the development of new training initiatives that support 2U’s business needs.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
As an experienced senior member of the team, the Senior Facilitator is responsible for managing the training course creation and facilitation process. This includes but is not limited to collaborating with Instructional Designers to create course materials, facilitating learning sessions through instructor-led and virtual-led formats, coordinating sessions and monitoring attendance rosters, leading Train-the-Trainer sessions, and proactively monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of training sessions as part of post-training support.
Partners with 2U leadership, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to ensure successful training outcomes and operational/compliance requirements are met.
Collaborates with instructional design team to develop content that utilizes adult learning principles and meets training outcomes; manages content updates to materials as needed.
Uses training evaluation methods, feedback, and training expertise to measure effectiveness of training sessions and identify areas for improvement in programs and processes; provides reports to leadership that identify strengths and weaknesses of content.
Ensures that learning solutions are aligned with defined business goals and 2U’s talent and professional development standards; stays current with trends in learning, training, and facilitation research as well as new materials, methods and techniques.
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Education, Human Resources or related discipline; Master’s degree in Adult Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology preferred.
Strong knowledge base in the areas of instructional objectives and strategies, blended learning solutions, learning object methodology, and measurement standards.
2-4 years of experience in developing training content for adult learners required.
2-4 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering training in a variety of delivery methods (eLearning, instructor-led training, and virtual-led training) for adult learners required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with corporate training facilitation, project management, and communications/messaging.
Excellent verbal communication and business writing skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate across teams.
Excellent presentation skills – effective in one-on-one and small group settings
