The Employee Relations (ER) Manager is responsible for providing centralized ER support through advising and conducting workplace investigations on behalf of the Enterprise. During the course of conducting workplace investigations, the ER Manager will engage with business leaders, HR, Legal and other key stakeholders to make recommendations on outcomes. This role will ensure that consistent, objective, and fair employee relations standards are applied across the enterprise by using data related to ER case management. Identifies and proactively addresses issues and risk that will continue to build **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s reputation as an employer of choice, while having accountability for minimizing enterprise ER risk. Influences business and HR leaders to understand trends, implement best practices, and ensure knowledge share and learnings are applied across the organization.
What will you do?
High-Risk ER Cases
Responsible for conducting all phases of the investigation process for high-risk complex ER cases that can involve substantial legal risk. Provide guidance/influence to resolve investigations. Partners with a manager and legal in preparing for, conducting, and resolving the aforementioned ER case type across various business groups and geographies.
Business Partnerships
Works cross-functionally, including influencing corporate and field HRMs (including assisting in training HRMs and business leaders) and other teams to develop common best practices ensure business leaders and HRMs create environments with consistent, fair practices while driving positive business results. Provide non-legal and workplace-related recommendations/insight.
Collaborates cross-functionally with Legal, Ethics, Asset Protection, and other sources of policy enforcement to solve for complex issues, which may involve multi-party investigations, supplier investigations, etc.
Assist in Developing Proactive ER Strategies
Partners with ER team and “mines” multiple sources of data (including existing reports) to identify trends and leading indicators of issues. Implements proactive strategies to reduce ER risk across the organization.
Basic Requirements (You must meet or exceed all basic requirements to be eligible):
3 or more years of experience do you have in Human Resources, Employee Relations, or an investigative environment
3 or more years of proven leadership experience (i.e., influence, confidentiality, communication and conflict resolution)
Proven experience leading, decision making, documenting, and delivering highly defensible results related to ER investigations
Preferred Requirements:
Previous experience applying ER principles, knowing and understanding employment laws and their applications, and the ability to incorporate new practices into enterprise change initiatives
