Where you fit in?

You’ll be part of the Learning Solutions Customer and Commercial teams; whose purpose is to be the single provider of learning content creation and curation.

Your scope includes the full breadth of learning interventions, ranging from formal Learning (e.g. courses, assessments, blended learning) and informal Learning (e.g. Nuggets, Portals, external learning sources) to Knowledge Management (KM) solutions supporting learning in the flow of work for the Benelux and France Mobility business.

Your mission is to support business performance through helping individuals learn faster, continuously reskill and upskill, and able to deliver their work safely and ethically. You will work closely together with other teams in OD&L to make and execute appropriate buy/borrow/build decisions – going for market standards when it comes to non-differentiating capabilities and creating bespoke solutions to grow and nurture differentiating capabilities.

You will work closely together with the Mobility OD&L Manager to set the yearly Learning Plan in support of the business agenda in the local markets.

Your key accountabilities include:


Interface to the Business-facing OD&L Managers and business leaders/SMEs for new requests and then lead or support the development or curation of a learning solution. Work with advisor colleagues across RDS to ensure consistency and replication of the solution
By capability theme, source content internally and curate content externally.
By capability theme, collaborate with subject matter experts and facilitators for content delivery.


What's the role?

You will be reporting to the Manager Learning Solutions Delivery Mobility EUMEAF and will partner with other Learning Advisors across the team, Manager OD&L Mobility and business stakeholders to provide relevant learning solutions for diagnosed organisational problems for Mobility Benelux and France.

You will be responsible for content development and curation of learning solutions for Shell indirect (site staff, retailers, licensees) and Shell direct teams (Mobility corporate staff in Marketing, Fleet, Network, Regional Operations and Commercial delivery teams).

A special challenge will be to work with colleagues to ensure consistency and replication opportunities are embedded in ways of working. Practically, you will source content internally and curate content externally, collaborating with subject matter experts and facilitators for content delivery.

You’re a vital conduit for the global portfolios to understand changing business needs and ensuring an effective connection between business needs and global portfolio provide an exciting challenge.

What we need from you?

We'd hope to see the following in your CV:


The ability to ‘cross boundaries’ and build up business knowledge credibly and with speed will be critical.
Alongside your professional expertise in needs analysis, build/borrow/buy, curation, planning, change management, delivery and measurement, you have good understanding of the Mobility business such that you can credibly engage with business stakeholders and can quickly learn their language. You must be willing to invest time to rapidly build a knowledge and a network across the Mobility business.
You have professional learning skills such as familiarity with instructional design theories, practice and methods; ability to storyboard and communicate vision to customers; project management; ability to create and curate digital material/media; optimal use of learning technologies; strong data analysis skills and evidence led approach to continuous improvement of learning provision.
You have a passion for improving organisational performance through individual performance and are constantly pushing the envelope on how to do this faster and more effectively with the solutions in your portfolio; you drive continuous innovation across your portfolio with a bias towards learning in the flow of work and at the moment of need.
You bring a Learner Mindset, a curiosity to learn and grow yourself, learn from mistakes and a commitment to create an environment where people can speak up openly in a safe environment.
You have a passion for improving organisational performance through individual performance and are constantly pushing the envelope on how to do this faster and more effectively with the solutions in your portfolio; you drive continuous innovation across your portfolio with a bias towards learning in the flow of work and at the moment of need.
Dutch and English language proficiency is a must, French and German language proficiency would be a benefit in the Benelux and France cluster.
