Job Description:

As our HR Transformation is entering its next phase, we now have a vacancy for a newly created project role within the Time & Absence scope in our HR Transformation Programme Team.

Our HR Transformation journey focuses on delivering greater business impact and improved employee experience in a more affordably way. We continue to optimize our HR organization to delivery greater impact at less cost and continue to introduce more effective new technology for a better user experience and simpler processes. The HR Transformation Programme team is responsible for planning and preparing for these important changes in HR – working closely with colleagues and Subject Matter Experts across the Function and ensuring that we draw in best practice from our peers in our continued journey towards World Class HR. The Programme team is working under the leadership of the HR Transformation Programme Manager, who is accountable to the HR Transformation Leadership for on-time and on budget delivery of planned changes while realizing expected business benefits.

This role is part of the Time Management workstream of the HR Transformation programme. This workstream is focusing on the implementation of Workday's Time Management functionality for countries that are using HR Online today to record absence and / or overtime. As part of Release 3 Workday's Time Management functionality is being implemented for 15 countries. As part of the next releases Time Management will be implemented for another 30 countries.

Key Accountabilities


Coordinates end-to-end the Workday Time and Absence implementation for 1 or more countries (depending on their requirements complexity) – under established program framework
Collaborates closely with the Global Process Lead and Project Manager as well as all supporting technical teams to deliver the country project
Leads the country projects, particularly in the areas of requirements collection, process design/documentation, system testing preparations (scripts development) and execution, process change implementation
Works with country HR representatives to define/analyze business requirements for systems changes
Contributes to identifying and recommending any Time and Absence process redesign as required for the respective countries
Provides expert process advice to HR Operations teams; develops understanding within HR Operations SME teams so that they can effectively work with the new/amended processes in scope of the project
Liaises with other HR process Architects/Analysts to ensure process integration and delivery of the processes impacted or dependent on Time and Absence


Dimensions :

HR Transformation Programme has global impact on 3000 employees in the HR Function. The Role is also important for:


supporting global population of HR Operations, who in turn provide support to 85.000 of Shell employees and Line Managers
providing crucial support in the design and continuous improvement of HR processes, leading to high value business outcomes
partnering with the wider Shell HR community including, specifically HR Strategy, HR Centres of Excellence, HR in the Country, Shell HRIT and third party providers


Skills & Requirements :


University degree in Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences or IT
At least 3 years of relevant experience – ideally HR or IT projects
Background in HR process area complimented by a sound understanding of Time and Absence Processes or Payroll process
Basic project management skills allowing to effectively lead a project sub-team
Basic leadership skills to manage a small project group
Ability to collect and analyze data to formulate conclusions
Independent working, taking initiative and bringing recommendations forward, displaying a sense of urgency in resolving issues
Ability to work under time pressure and project regime
Knowledge of HR Systems & applications (e.g. SAP, Workday, Salesforce) will be an asset
Good influencing and communication skills
Fluent in English
