Pre-boarding Coordinator, Contract role thru the end of 2021 (12/31/21)
Job Summary:
The Pre-boarding Coordinator oversees all elements of the pre-boarding process and performs a critical role in a new hire's entry into the organization. They are responsible for navigating the new hire through a series of company, state, federal and city laws pertaining to pre-employment requirements. The Pre-boarding Coordinator acts as the primary point of contact for new hires between offer accept and start and ensures the timely completion and accuracy of all pre-employment requirements. Pre-boarding Coordinators are problem solvers, provide excellent customer service and possess great attention to detail.

The Pre-boarding Coordinator position is an ideal opportunity for individuals who are interested in operating virtually and physically in an office environment and have previous experience navigating candidates from the offer extended phase to their start date. The ideal candidate would be comfortable working in a high volume, high visibility complex organization and have familiarity with state, federal and city laws pertaining to pre-employment requirements. As this role will be the primary point of contact for new hires, the ideal candidate should possess excellent verbal/written communication skills
and have the ability to interact with candidates and flex communication styles to provide exceptional level of service
Acts as a connector between new hire, clients (including all levels of leadership) and other HR representatives. Provides excellent customer service.
Project manage the pre-employment screening process. Responsible for setting expectations and guiding the new hire through pre-boarding stage. Proactively identifies potential issues, proposes solutions and or escalates as appropriate.
Maintains current knowledge of company, legal and requirements related to pre-employment compliance and documentation.
Follows up with candidates, hiring managers and external vendor where necessary to ensure transparency and timely updates.
Creates new employee electronic employee record; follows through on any exceptions and or variances in documentation.
Other projects and initiatives as determined by the needs of the business.

Have prior relevant experience and the ability to adapt to / learn in quickly changing situations.
Have excellent attention to detail.
Be available to work onsite to assist new hires with Form I-9 in person verification as well as becoming a fingerprinting agent to collect new hires fingerprints as part of the FBI pre-hire background check background fingerprint collection.
Communication: Interpersonal skills with ability to comfortably interact with all levels of staff to provide exceptional level of service
Problem Solver: Proactively identifies potential issues, proposes solutions and or escalates as appropriate.
Work Style: Collaborative, highly organized, and able to multi-task with competing priorities, projects and deadlines.
Work Environment: HIGH volume, Partial Virtual / Remote, Partial Physical / On-site
Required Education: High School Diploma/GED
Required Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience.
Preferred Education: Associates Degree
Preferred Experience: Three (3) years professional experience in Human Resources or Hospital.
