Job Description:
The Pensions Admin Analyst will perform administration for routine retirement, death, leaver, transfer and divorce cases and handle complex member queries. It is also the responsibility of the Pensions Admin Analyst to authorise all individual cases processed by the Pensions Admin Associates and provide support to the Pensions Admin Team Manager when required.
Principal Accountabilities:
Perform administration for routine retirements, deaths, leavers, transfers and divorce cases for the SCPF (including Absorbed funds), SOCPF and SIPF.
Deal with complex operational member queries via phone, email and standard post.
Act as an escalation point for queries.
Ensure all individual cases due for payment are processed for the weekly supplementary/lump sum payrolls, or monthly payroll cycles (managed by the Payroll Team).
Authorise all routine individual cases performed by the Pension Admin Associates in the team.
Provide support to the Team Manager.
Dimensions:
The SCPF and SOCPF have a fund membership of approximately 50,000 members, including a pensioner payroll of £30 million per month for a population of 30,000 pensioners in the UK and overseas. The SIPF is a closed multi-currency fund totaling approximately 400 members.
Key Challenges:
Develop knowledge on all the Shell Pension Funds.
Develop knowledge on new pensions legislation being introduced and how these legislative changes affect the Shell funds and current pension administration processes
Embrace and help to promote the new ways of working (enabled by the new pensions administration system) across the Pensions Administration Team
Requirements
Required:
Experience in HR, Customer Service
Experience in handling phone conversations
Good English is a must
Nice to have:
Good technical knowledge of defined benefit pension schemes and UK pensions legislation
Experience with pensions administration systems
Experience with pensions administration calculations
Preferably holds a pensions qualification
