integrated member of service line business operation by providing comprehensive
human resource consultation and support services with the express purpose of
maximizing the effectiveness of business and human resource processes that
promote the organization’s strategic objectives. Also provides human resources expertise to
create a work community of choice.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The
Human Resources Business Partner’s scope of service is to provide strategic
comprehensive human resource programs, services and systems that support the
organization’s mission and business objectives.
Articulates an understanding of the service line/department business
goals, strengths and opportunities, and makes recommendations for improvement, and
assists with design, development and implementation processes. Builds strong win-win relationships with partners to deliver on key
goals.Assists in aligning department processes with overall organizational strategic
goals.Assists with identifying top talent, both internally and externally,
and works with management team to ensure succession planning for the future. Takes active measures to coach and/or provide training to management
team members with a goal to increase their leadership and best practices.Provides appropriate advice, feedback, and development resources to
improve the effectiveness of individuals and teams.Applies strategic understanding to complex problems and issues. Assists managers to create, communicate and consistently apply
performance development best practices, including progressive discipline when
necessary.Works in collaboration with recruitment coordinator to analyze
information/trends from various sources such as exit interviews, feedback from
employees, etc. and makes recommendations for improvements.Applies an understanding of key legal precedents, policies, and
practices, and provides effective direction and advice to management, to
protect the interests of the organization and individual employees to minimize
risk.Works collaboratively with designated department management and staff
to incorporate HR expertise to support and maximize departmental performance.Works collaboratively with Administration, Finance, Payroll, and CHI
Service Center to assist in resolving employment issues. Facilitates the recruitment process for management and difficult to
fill positions. Provides onboarding
process for new members of management. Assists management team in learning how to access and interpret information
that is meaningful, generates reports, and provides insightful analysis of
information gathered and makes recommendations.Works collaboratively with Employee Health and Wellness Services and
other ancillary departments to facilitate activities and programs that impact
the health and wellness of employees.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
May be responsible for
special HR related assignments or projectsMay be required to drive to
other locations.Attends and actively
participates in conferences, educational programs/workshops; applies acquired
knowledge in practiceAssists with new staff
orientation as assignedAttends and actively
participates in assigned meetingsTakes responsibility for
determining learning needs and seeks out opportunities for suchMay participate in system
wide task forces/committees that further the goals of the organization
','!*!MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Bachelor’s degree in human resources, nursing, business, or related field required1-3 years in a human resources experience required.
