Job Summary:
The Compensation Value Expert (CVE) is responsible for driving the continuous development and improvement of the workforce-related policies effectiveness in his/her geography as well as actively contributing to the SWP. He/She acts as an expert, in a general or project-specific approach, sharing knowledge related to the workforce management composed of, but not limited to, compensation & benefits, EVP, workforce market intelligence. The CVE is responsible for monitoring the compensation line and advising the GeoUnit HR Manager on best solutions to ensure return on human capital investment.
Additional Responsibilities:
Provide solutions to any question/challenge faced by the business and the regional HR team in terms of compensation line management.
Provide agile and expert domain knowledge to the rest of the HR community.
Identify current and upcoming HR challenges & spot new trends (attrition, well-being, EVP, market change.) through various resources (conferences, surveys, external practices…) in line with an ever-fluctuating landscape (new business requirements, new Industry expansion, era of digital…).
Play a key role in unlocking the compensation line for his/her geographical scope on a regular basis and propose optimization measures.
Partner with local HR team to ensure that all workforce-related policies and guidelines are updated in a timely manner and communicated to the relevant population.
Manage projects based within agreed timeframes and with a cost & value approach to solutions.
Define and present budgetary details and business cases related to initiatives, including but not limited to cost modelling and return on investment.
Manage the annual & on-demand compensation & benefits review with the business holders and HR community and make recommendations on budget for MSA, MI & PR with a clear cost modelling impact on the compensation line.
Manage third-party contracts including but not limited to market survey providers.
Contribute and or manage as required M&A, divestiture, JV HR/C&B projects (due diligence, job evaluations, audits…).
Lead work groups and collaborate within the HR community to address issues and develop new solutions.
Responsible for liaising with other parts of the organization & the workforce value community to ensure that all local projects & developments are compatible with global initiatives.
Responsible, together with the rest of C&B Management team, for knowledge sharing within the function.
Ensure full compliance to our workforce related standards and drive workforce integrity initiatives.
May be required to perform other Compensation-related tasks beyond this scope to support the Compensation Value community.
Comply with all applicable Schlumberger standards and policies including but not limited to Schlumberger corporate HR principles, integrity & governance.
Identify and participates in continuous improvement initiatives as required and including but not limited to automation projects and process simplification.
Minimum experience required:
Min of 4 years of related experience
