Job Description:
Purpose:
The HR Manager Turkey role exists for the principal purpose of executing Shell’s people strategy and agenda in the local setting. It is present to support local integration, partner with the Country Coordination Team in creating a great place to work, protect Shell’s license to operate in the country, promote Shell’s Employer Brand, strengthen Shell’s EVP in the local market so the company can attract and retain the best talent, and drive a healthy ER/IR culture. All of these must be done in full compliance with current and future Group HR policy, processes and organization and local legal requirements. It also exists to ensure that in Turkey the interests of the individual businesses (Mobility, Lubricants S&M, LSC, T&S Supply, T&S Ops, Aviation, Marine, Chemicals, Functions) and the overall interests of Shell are optimized in the area of HR, both internally and externally. The role also acts as HR Business Partner to the JV business.
Accountabilities:
Through understanding of Shell’s businesses and goals, taking into context the local market/industry/legislation, the HRM Turkey expected to:
Partner with the Country Coordination Team specifically with the Country Chair in order to drive business objectives.
Lead, develop and coach Country HR staff.
Partner closely with relevant business leaders and HRiB to provide people insights that will deliver business priorities including the people agenda that covers areas such as recruitment, talent management, succession planning and capability building.
Engage and manage all relevant stakeholders including Regional rewards, policy and subject matter experts to deliver regular/ad hoc global/regional/local programs.
Collaborate with Integrated Resourcing’s internal/external specialists to attract and retain talents from the local market.
Diagnose local learning and development needs and introduce Group or local solutions as appropriate, including organizational effectiveness tools.
Work with local business leaders and team leads to build and sustain a positive ER/IR and work climate in order to ensure high employee engagement;
Collaborate with Group HR specialists to ensure local remuneration and benefits, employee terms and conditions and HR policies are aligned with Group, local legislation and local market practices.
Partner with HRiB in managing complex and large-scale organizational changes.
Directly manage relationship with relevant Union by conducting any required Union/Management meeting and Collective Labour Agreement.
Manage sensitive ER/IR cases such as PIP, redundancy and labour cases.
Manages relationships with employee representatives
Supports reputation management and acts as emergency/crisis response team member
Key Skills & Experience Needed:
Solid HR knowledge and experience across all facets of HR.
Excellent track record of strong performance, ability to prioritize tasks, and experience in leading a team of HR professionals
Proven strong leadership capability, highly self-motivated and able to deliver results with the highest standards.
Enthusiasm to truly understand the business, the external market environment and the competitive landscape.
Ability to balance strategic thinking and strong operational delivery.
Excellent communication, influencing skills and ability to interface across all levels of the organization.
Strong negotiation skills in Collective Labour Agreement.
Strong coaching, facilitation and intervention skills.
Focused and strong drive to build overall capability of talent in the organization.
Motivation and drive to deliver changes, to improve processes and results.
Fluent in English (verbal and written).
