About the job
This position is needed to bring your intuition for business and subject matter expertise to partner with leaders in creating and driving DEI plans integrated into the DNA of their business. You’ll thrive if you are a connector and influencer who can challenge leaders on Twilio’s journey to become an Antiracist company using deep knowledge of DEI frameworks and experiences. This role is for you if you are a highly collaborative and committed individual who sets and maintains high standards for themselves and the company and is adept at translating antiracist behaviors in relation to Twilio's operating behaviors, practices, policies and processes.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
Operate as principal liaison to HR Business Partners on Global DEI initiatives including but not limited to plan strategically for DEI Learning and DEI Partnerships across all regions.
Manage 3 Regional DEI Leads (NAMER/LATAM, EMEA, APJ) and provide guidance, support, and leadership in driving specific regional DEI initiatives
Actively support HRBPs as they guide teams (GTM, R&D, G&A, etc. ) through the establishment and delivery of their DEI goals.
With the support of your direct reports, partner with Talent Management/Talent Acquisition Leadership to ensure a DEI lens is incorporated with respect to strategy, policies and procedures related to recruiting, retention, performance, advancement, and equity for each region.
Provide strategy and thought leadership to systems and processes relating to recruiting, retention, performance, advancement, and equity by function and for the region.
Work with your team to drive/champion antiracism learning journey and framework for the regions
Ensure HRBPs feel equipped to also champion these efforts, helping them partner with the business.
Engage/Influence calibration, performance review, succession planning, and leadership development work impacting diverse populations.
Interact extensively across all functional teams within Twilio and have significant exposure to our exec leadership team
Grow and mentor a distributed team of direct reports
Partner with the TA team on supporting the Inclusion Rule with data specific work.
Work with your team to help build and drive anti-racist content, learning and education.
Work wit your team to analyze diversity data and provide key findings to internal partners and leadership team
Ensure the consistent exercise of appropriate judgment and discretion in all programs - upholding Twilio's DEI policy and programs
Support direct reporting team of Regional DEI Leaders in all efforts related to Big Picture, Priorities and Measures.

Required:
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
10 - 15 years of business experience required; preference for previous global experience in Diversity and Inclusion and HRBP
Ability to change directions and align with a new way of thinking about DEI and commitment to antiracism. Must be a learner who is comfortable dealing in the “gray” space
Sense of professionalism and maturity; a builder, disrupter, innovator, a strong influencer, and project manager.
You have established experience in managing projects to completion in a matrixed environment, comfortable with ambiguity and able to deliver results with informal authority as well as direct management relationship
Willing to be strategic, while also diving into the weeds to help solve problems
Strong understanding of industry benchmarks, frameworks, leading practices, and innovations in DEI
10 years of experience designing diversity, equity, inclusion strategy with experience of implementing successful DEI programs and solutions at scale, within a global organization, across multiple locations and with measurable DEI outcomes
Strong understanding of industry benchmarks, frameworks, leading practices, and innovations in DEI
Experience working with partners and senior leaders across all levels around the globe
