Employees at our firm have growth and development opportunities and are able to be promoted. Qualified candidates for the Staff Accountant Position will have 5 years of accounting experience, be self-motivated and organized, and excel in communication and building rapport with clients.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base Salary Discretionary Bonuses salary range from $45,000 - $65,000 based on experience

Responsibilities:
Collect hours, pay rates, etc. to enter in payroll software
Obtain new employee forms to enter new employees
Run payroll reports for clients
Assist with workers comp audits
Utilize payroll software and online applications to input and verify data.
Build rapport with clients by being dependable and providing consistent follow-up
Calculate payroll taxes for clients by inputting data gathered from clients into accounting application
Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll taxes and regulations
Assist with year-end payroll auditing as needed
Communicate with customers via phone and email
Perform administrative duties and other accounting tasks
Become familiar and comply with Pierce Firms policies, procedures, manuals, forms, and relevant software
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 Years Accounting Experience prefer previous experience as an Accountant, Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, Payroll Accountant, Accounting Administrator, Payroll Administrator, Business Services Accountant, Payroll Specialist, Accountant I, Accountant II, or Accountant III
Bachelors Degree in Accounting / Business Administration or meet minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll
Maintain client confidentiality and privacy
Handle, resolve, or escalate issues or challenges with clients
Pass a background check and drug-screening
Positive attitude and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Thrive in a fast-paced office environment that works individually and as a team
Tech-savvy: Excel at using a computer, email, Microsoft Excel, and accounting applications
Problem solving, conflict resolution, and trouble-shooting skills
Detail-oriented and able to organize, prioritize, focus, and complete tasks
