Position Summary:
To administer human resources related programs and projects for faculty and staff within the Department of Medicine. This position would also assist with various annual HR projects, would be responsible for all on-boarding of new staff, entering recruitment information into a REDCap database, maintain electronic personnel folders, and would work closely with DOM HR staff on any other HR issues that may arise.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage all Recruitment and other HR needs specifically for DOM CRE and IT but also for other Chair office positions.
This would include submitting CRFs, posting, referring applicants, and helping with starting salary for new employees.
In addition this job would be responsible for all on-boarding new staff, inputting recruitment data for Chair Office Staff into the REDCap onboarding database and working closely with DOM HR staff on any other HR issues that may arise.
Assist with working the oracle queue for DOM, Faculty Data Forms and Travel forms
Save all personnel documents to personnel folders and managing the dommattch email inbox.
Process various HR ACT documents as needed for Chair Office and CRE, including Volunteer appointments.
Scan and file various HR documents that are brought to or emailed to HR for signature.
Maintain clean personnel folders on sharedrive; reconcile personnel folders to active employees and move terminated employees to Terminated folder.
Assist with annual projects as it relates to PT, merit process, performance evals, service awards, etc. as well as Monthly or quarterly scrub of DOM census data and email to divisions.
Sending out of routine communications: UAB/HSF Payroll deadline reminders, DOM HR monthly/quarterly Newsletter, Benefit Open Enrollment, Flu Shot compliance Etc.
Work with Communication team on various HR communication throughout the year. This could include Employee of the Quarter, updating DOM Web site and Sharepoint site, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned
Salary Range: $17.95 - $29.20
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement. Currently certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidate would have a working knowledge of the Oracle HR System, Taleo, and REDCap
Energetic, motivated and self-guided with excellent organization skills.
