1. POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a skilled Manager, Operations/People & Development to join the team at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. This role sits within the Business Services Group and will manage the Firm’s operations and people needs.
The role provides hands on specialist support and services to the business in relation to its operations and staff including people management, business administration, event management, and supervision of team members.
2. Main Responsibilities
Carrying out high quality support to the business including:
People
Manage recruitment, retention, and professional development of staff
On-boarding of new staff and managing the probationary period
Identify knowledge gaps and incorporating these into the training and development program
Manage annual performance review process and ensure development goals are followed up
Assist group heads become better managers
Management and carriage of staff policies and procedures manual and ensure it is kept up to date
Ensure compliance with all WHS requirements
Facilities
Liaise with building management, sublessor and maintenance contractors etc.
Front of house management
Oversee office procurement re consumables including management of subscriptions
Functions
Oversee management of contacts database in conjunction with Administration Coordinator and senior secretaries
Source venues and providers
Oversee management of bump ins & bump outs
Oversee management of and responses
Management, mentoring and supervision of business support staff (currently 3 staff)
Ad hoc projects, as required

Practice group leaders
Lawyers and legal support staff
Business support managers
External providers
4. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or suitable equivalent
Experience working in a similar commercial law firm/professional services environment (preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in delivering pragmatic commercial outcomes that meet the needs of the business

Maintains a high level of understanding of the Watson Mangioni systems and procedures
