Benefits Administrator
The Benefits Administrator will work closely with our internal and external partners and team members to resolve day to day issues, lead compliance efforts, and maintain the seamless administration of our benefit programs including health and wellness.
Responsibilities:
· Administer various benefit programs, which may include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, FLMA, COBRA and more
· Assist employees with day-to-day administration and benefits questions by serving as a first point of contact and continuous resource for health and wellness benefits.
· Administer employee wellness initiatives, including vendor management, employee education, and outreach activities.
· Support benefit related communications and projects related to employee education, process improvement, program review, research, analysis, etc. to increase employee engagement
· Ensure compliance with regulations for benefits including reporting, auditing, and staying ahead of compliance requirements
· Administer health and welfare plans by working with external benefit partners to ensure all issues and ongoing projects are resolved in a timely fashion, resolve escalated employee issues, initiate ad hoc requests, and grow your overall relationships with our benefit partners
· Oversee tactical item resolution including, but not limited to file feeds, discrepancies (enrollment, billing, rates, etc.), report analysis, monthly billing and updated documentation
· Maintain Benefit information, documents for all relevant information TPA & Tyson HRIS Systems
· Support annual review of the company’s benefits programs.
· Support annual Benefits Open Enrollment processes including new vendor implementation, system testing, and communications
· Document and streamline processes
Required Experience and Skills:
· 1-3 years of experience with health and welfare administration, retirement benefit administration and compliance
· Advanced knowledge of using Microsoft Office software including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
· Experience working with HRIS systems, SAP Knowledge a plus
· Strong understanding and knowledge of benefits and best practices in human resources
· Ability to navigate through global laws, processes, compliance, and regulatory requirements
· Strong Compliance knowledge preferred
· BS or MS degree in Human Resources or Business preferred but not required
· Able to work well both within a team and as an individual to deal with issues in an ambiguous way.
· Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, focus and a sense of urgency.
