Thatu2019s what _#LifeAtCummins_ is all about.We are looking for a talented Payroll Tax Analyst to join our team specializing in Finance Function for our Corporate Organization in Columbus, IN.**In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** Responsible for preparation of tax returns and executing projects related to the application of tax laws. Prepare basic tax returns and tax reconciliations. Support tax audits by gathering data and addressing questions. Executes basic projects related to the application of tax law. Analyze and summarizes tax information which would be used for purposes of preparing federal and state tax returns and federal and state tax provision supporting calculations. Prepare reports supporting positions taken on federal and state tax returns as well as federal and state tax provisions and provides recommendations to tax department leaders.**Qualifications****In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** Responsible for preparation of tax returns and executing projects related to the application of tax laws. Prepare reports supporting positions taken on federal and state tax returns as well as federal and state tax provisions and provides recommendations to tax department leaders.**To be successful in this role you will need the following:** Minimal relevant professional work experience in the field of study required. College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting required This position is a support role within the payroll tax team. Payroll tax experience is required (extensive knowledge of withholding and unemployment taxes). Data integrity and analytical aptitude is needed for the role. You must be able to complete the following tasks: Work together as a team to ensure proper compliance. Participate in quarter-end and year-end reconciliations. File quarterly manual returns for all companies (PRSDI, AL locals, KY Locals, MBT) and the corresponding annual with holding returns for all companies. Update the SUI rates in ADP smart compliance and Global view SAP. Fix the daily periodic errors in ADP smart compliance. Answer employees W4 requests and questions regarding their tax applications. Respond to cases and tickets per established Service level agreements (SLA). Respond to internal stakeholders with a customer focus mind. Prepare W2cs and corresponding amendment returns with ADP smart compliance. Testing new W4 forms and new implemented platforms. Register for withholding and unemployment accounts with state and local agencies. Additional experience with Canadian pay roll taxes preferred ( _Understanding of T-4 slip statement of remuneration paid, andT-4SUM summary of remuneration paid_ )**Compensation and Benefits**Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
