This position is an entry level HR management position and will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative, technical, and professional work while learning the fundamentals of managing the plant Human Resource functions including community and team member relations, compensation, and recruitment. Understanding union labor relations and interpreting contract language will also be a part of the learning curriculum. Specific responsibilities will include development and administration of community and team member relations programs, assisting in the employment and training processes, assisting with the administration of the human resource functions, analysis of turnover and development of team member retention programs. Responsibilities also include leading the development of community relations functions for the company. Serving as a representative of Tyson will be an integral part of this position. Other duties as assigned. This position is a part of Human Resource’s succession planning. Bilingual language skills preferred, but not required. Basic computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Requires excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills. Must be a motivated self-starter who has the desire to be involved in the community. Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
Resume is required and must contain contact information, related work experience/history, skills, and educational information. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. Preference given to those with a degree in Human Resources or a related field and those with HR or office experience.
Preference given to internal qualified candidates currently employed at this facility followed by candidates from other Tyson facilities then external candidates.
