The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.
Partner with Department Managers and senior technical staff to assess, summarize, coordinate, and provide expert guidance and solutions to meet technical training and development needs and capability gaps. while providing an exceptional learner experience.
Provide guidance and assist with the development of internally created technical training.
Work with senior technical staff to review and create published technical content to ensure it is up to date, relevant, accurate, and easy to locate.
Works with L&D team members to organize published and new content into a searchable Learning Management or Knowledge Management System.
Assists with the organization and curation of technical content into learning paths that meet the needs of disciplines, departments, and employees.
Provide follow-up documentation and job aides for delivered technical content to meet training and knowledge transfer needs.
In conjunction with the HR Admin, coordinates invitations, approvals, and meeting logistics for internal technical training events.
Assist with the identification and management of external learning and event approval, and supports managers to set expectations for employees attending external learning events.
Supports follow-up and follow-through after external learning events to capture learning, implement new approved practices, and determine methods for documenting and sharing learning content.
Assists operations with conducting and/or reviewing project specific lessons learned (LL). Creates job aides to reflect LL when and where appropriate.
Create or assist with creation of a functioning, searchable knowledge base for employee and project consumption.
Develop and/or run technical train- the-trainer program for subject matter experts (SMEs).
Coach stakeholders on effective L&D practices for technical development.
Coordinate production of eLearning courses for assigned content.
Establishes relationships and interfaces with vendors as needed to meet training program needs.
Coordinates, creates, and/or delivers other training or content as assigned.
Participates in meetings and sits on training or related committees as needed.
Occasional travel may be required.
Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication, Business, Human Resources, Training & Development, or related field.
Three to five years of training-related experience.
Two to three years of experience working with SMEs on technical learning projects, preferably in architectural or engineering roles.
Two years of eLearning authoring such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, Articulate Storyline, or Lectora experience preferred.
