Scope of Position:
JMAC Lending is looking for a talented HR Generalist/Coordinator
in a temp to hire capacity that is professional and tactful; they must be a careful listener and clear communicator to assist in providing ongoing support to JMAC Lending team members and management. This individual will be responsible for performing HR-related duties to include responsibilities in supporting recruiting, employee record management, all HR systems, training, performance management, policies, and department and organizational projects.
Responsibilities:
Assist in remote on-boarding of all new hires, including scheduling, new hire paperwork, I-9’s and other items to ensure a positive and successful on-boarding for our new hires.
Facilitates off-boarding process by closely tracking end dates and communicating with departments, and participants to ensure the proper close-out activities are completed in a timely manner (final checks, badge collection, equipment return, and final documentation received.)
Assist with processing of internal employee transfers in conjunction with job transfer or promotion when filling an open position.
Will support corporate recruiting of all levels, including supporting in a recruiting coordination capacity.
Support the company’s performance management administrative process, data entry, and ensuring payroll reporting for merit increases.
Support all HR systems and become an expert in their usage.
Assist with compensation adjustments and creation of employee notification letters and initiating update of internal records in HRIS and employee files.
Support the administration and tracking of employee promotions to include supervisor anti-harassment training, conducting interviews, how to complete performance reviews.
Assist in the preparation of employ status changes, including promotions, terminations and severance letters and coordination with payroll team.
Stay current on all state and federal laws and upcoming changes that impact employment law, recruiting and benefits. Use resources from HR vendors, as necessary.
Assist in HR projects as defined by HR leadership and/or department needs that may arise task or projects may vary at times.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Professional HR certifications preferred but not required.
Strong organizational skills using a wide range of tools, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Asana, Smartsheet etc.
Clear communication written and verbal.
Skilled problem solver and decision maker with proven ability to think creatively and seek optimal solutions.
Ability to multi-task in a busy, and often challenging environment.
Exceptional detail orientation and organization skills (with strong sense of urgency and follow up/follow through).
Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieves results with little oversight.
Intermediate to advance Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS software experience.
Has 2-3 years of human resource administration experience.
