The Staffing Coordinator will work with management, clients and caregivers, making this an important role within the agency. The position requires an organized, detail oriented and team-focused individual.
The ideal applicants for this position would have a background in one of the following positions:
Certified Nurse Assistant
Home Health Aide
Senior Care Related Experience
Prior Staffing and Scheduling Experience
Other Relevant Related Experience.
Responsibilities
The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for scheduling caregivers with agency clients and assisting where needed to organize the office for smooth daily operations. The Staffing Coordinator organizes and prepares work schedules for caregivers who assist agency clients in the clients’ residences to ensure the appropriate amount of caregivers are available for each work shift. The staffing coordinator also maintains a short notice bench of available caregivers to cover open shifts when there are call-outs.
Our agency utilizes cloud-based scheduling software to assist the staffing coordinator with creating and maintaining daily staffing reports, which include verifying caregivers' work hours, requested time off, as well as open caregiver assignments. Reporting responsibilities also include verifying and reconciling caregiver work hours with the payroll department on a routine basis to ensure payroll is disbursed accurately.
Duties
Handle all matters relating to caregivers;
Schedule caregivers with clients;
Schedule replacement / fill-in caregivers to cover vacations and call-outs;
Learn and utilize agency scheduling software to manage caregiver schedules;
Collaborate with office team members to communicate schedule status, issues and solutions.
Skills & Abilities
Computer skills are essential, including proficiency with MS Office
Must be able to learn and utilize our cloud-based scheduling software
Should be organized, detail oriented, able to work with minimal supervision
Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent work ethic.
