What’s the role?

Part of HR Brazil team that is accountable for Compensation, Benefits and HR Projects. This team develop policy and manage compensation and benefits that adds value to the business and manage large projects spanning attraction, deployment, performance and retention through to redundancy and pensions. The focus of this position is on Compensation, Benefits and HR Projects.

The Shell Brazil Compensation and Benefits team is accountable for all local HR activities and processes as well as smooth delivery of global policies related to these areas. This is a wide attention area, from pay, support to pay reviews, benefits, pension, redundancy, and redundancy support, to all sorts of other deployment topics. The role is an expert on Compensation and Benefits. The position is involved in delivering HR projects in compensation / benefits, either as project / delivery lead, or as part of a project team and also ensure they are executed as intended, providing expertise that helps the HR community to support the business.

We operate in a volatile external context. Part of the role is to understand what is happening (eg: deliver benchmarks) and to anticipate what’s happening, eg amend benefits or create new based on new legislation. Employment, pay, benefits do attract senior stakeholder interest. The role needs to ensure that Employee Value Propositions (including pay) is well understood by all staff and there is a connection with ER/IR where needed.

Accountabilities:


Focal point for all policies related to compensation and benefits in Brazil responsible for assuring quality delivery of global Compensation strategies/plans at the local level;
Support ER / IR Manager on Union negotiation and stakeholder engagement in Shell (Reward team, senior leaders, supervisors and staff);
Responsible for data analysis in HR to transform data in important information for HR project and to support the team;
Implement and guarantee the quality of all compensation and benefits processes in Brazil. Responsible for data quality and data integrity for Remuneration and Benefits in the country.
Support the Central Compensation team in the analysis of the Salary Survey, providing local advice. Guarantee communication to staff and compliance with local legislation and Union agreements.
Advise and assist in developing Benefits and Policies to increase the employee value proposition;
Looking for Benefits’ improvements considering Shell’s strategies and global / local trends;
Re enforce an operational excellence culture in the area and looking for improvement in Shell’s processes as well as with external providers;
Manage Shell’s benefits providers, improving OE culture and monitoring KPIs to drive a better service;
Ensure HR related policies are adequate to labor law changes and compliant with Brazilian eSocial requirements;
Interface with key stakeholders such as Payroll, IT, Health, external providers, HR Advice during any compensation and benefits’ changes to ensure alignment and raise any concerns that need to be addressed prior to implementation;
Develop industry relationship for policy benchmark purposes;
Enhance Shell's EVP trhough policies and benefits;
HR Payments;
Manage all Health plan actions including organizing health / dental plan committee with HR / Health / Bradesco / Willis twice an year to monitor plan’s KPIs and propose improvements;
Manage all employees’ communications related to Shell’s benefits.


What we need from you


Must have legal authorization to work in the Brazil on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
The ideal candidate for this position will be an experienced HR professional. Background in pay, policy, benefits, expatriate legislation, payroll themes is desirable at least 2 years of experience.
Bachelor’s Degree required (Business, economist, engineering or equivalent preferred).
Analytical and high level of writing/presentation skills, able to analyse and manage large volumes of data;
Project management skills;
Can bring out of the box thinking but also bring structure with longer term strategy in mind;
Ability to prioritize and deliver variety of parallel projects, provide results under time restraints;
Strong Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word skills;
Knowledge of Compensation practices and Country X benefits;
Understanding of business in Country X and how the Policy, Compensation & Benefits drive business value, customer focus;
Strong communication skills and (senior) stakeholder management both in English and Portuguese;
Ability to influence others, managing multiple stakeholders;
Able to look ahead, think strategically while focusing on day to day delivery
Ability to deal with confidential information and implement change initiatives.
Knowledge of esocial phases and interfaces;
Brings external market/supplier into the conversation (curiosity)
Collaborates and integrates within all HR teams and with business, enterprise first
Driven, Motivated & Passionate to drive positive change.
