We are looking for a Benefits Manager to help provide benefits guidance and assistance to our employees from our Santa Monica office.

You’ll Report To:
Sr. Manager, Compensation and Benefits
A typical day as a Benefits Manager
might include:
Administer and manage employee benefits programs such as medical, dental, vision plans, and life insurance plans both domestically and internationally.
Handle escalated benefit inquiries and complaints ensuring a quick and efficient resolution.
Maintain and administer the leave of absence process (i.e., Maternity/Paternity, Worker’s Compensation, Short Term and Long Term Disability, etc.) and make sure to adhere to applicable state and federal laws.
Communicate and build relationships with internal team members, benefit plan consultants, and vendors regarding benefit policies.
Partner with internal business partners to help streamline processes.
Participate in building out various benefit and wellness programs.
Conduct both in-person & remote employee benefit orientations as well as manage the Annual Open Enrollment experience.
Reconcile benefit billing and invoices.
Support system implementation and conversion within the HRIS, payroll, and benefit systems.
Assist with employee data management and support HRIS team to ensure existing and new benefit programs as well as participants are properly set-up within the system.
Support various audits related to the 401(k) plan.
Work with the benefits broker in the preparation of government filings such as Form 5500, Summary Annual Reports, Non-Discrimination testing, OSHA reporting, etc.
Other duties and ad-hoc reporting as assigned.
You’ll be successful if you put people first and are proactive in taking care of employees. You must be customer service-oriented, collaborative, and able to communicate effectively across the company.
What You Have:
Minimum 5 years of benefits administration experience and training.
Self-starter with the ability to successfully work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to analyze, problem solve, and clearly communicate to all levels of staff throughout the organization.
Ability to maintain close attention to detail in work performed.
Experience with HRIS and Benefits Administration systems preferably ADP Workforce Now.
Solid knowledge of federal and state-specific leave laws.
Excellent in excel and demonstrate high level of accuracy.
Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality in all work performed.
Bachelor’s Degree from four-year College or University.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Not afraid to wear multiple hats - no job being too small or too large.
