Job Summary
The Manager of Strategic Enablement and Open Enrollment (OE) Readiness is responsible for supporting the implementation and ongoing management of key U.S. benefit programs to ensure effective service delivery and optimize the overall employee experience. Carries out effective liaison with outside organizations, working in close cooperation and coordination with legal counsel, consultants and insurance company representatives. Works with a cross-functional team within Global Benefits to align strategic priorities with business objectives and execute on key strategic initiatives that support the Physical, Emotional, and Financial Wellbeing of our employees. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in project management, finance, and collaboration.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Leads strategic vendor management activities for key U.S. health & welfare and retirement programs,including:
Manage annual contract renewals and negotiation of program financial terms in collaboration with procurement, legal, and other internal partners.
Define and monitor vendor success metrics to ensure ongoing vendor accountability and performance.
Develop scalable processes and identifies improvements in collaboration with internal partners to drive operational efficiencies.
Manage day-to-day vendor activities.
Support key open enrollment readiness activities, including:
Development of annual accrual rates and employee contributionalternatives.
Annual plan design review (legislative, best practices, market opportunities, benchmarking)in coordination withother members of the Global Benefit team.
Modeling potentialplanchanges and assessment ofpotentialemployeeimpact.
Coordinates and facilitates discussions withEmployee/LaborRelationsand other Human Resources stakeholdersregardingemployee impact analyses.
Coordinationofupdates to fees and financial provisions forannualrate template.
Collaborate with HR Service Delivery to ensure annual program updates are implemented across all employee experience platforms.
Coordinateskey messageswith HR Communications and reviews annual employee open enrollment materials.
Coordinatesand reviewsupdates to plan documents and SPDs.
Leads annual competitive bidding/market solicitations and implementations of new products, services and programs, including:
Stakeholder engagement, feedback & approvals
Development of RFP & implementation requirements.
Coordination across cross-functional teams to adhere with internal processes and various administrative, legal and data privacy requirements.
Evaluate bidder financial and qualitative responses and summarize results to present to internal stakeholders and leadership .
Effective project management including development of project plans aligned with broader organizational milestones, adherence to overall timelines, managing key interdependencies and escalation of project risks.
Exhibits understanding of U.S. health & welfare and retirement programs to ensure integration and the ability to champion key initiatives across Wellbeing Pillars - Physical, Emotional and Financial.
Collaborates effectively with Procurement, Finance, Legal, Employee Relations, Service Delivery, Payroll, HR Communications and other key stakeholders to implement and monitor vendor & product performance.
Demonstrates strong analytical skills to effectively manage program budgets and analyze vendor utilization/engagement data to assess vendor performance and inform potential program design opportunities .
Strong interpersonal skills working with a wide variety of stakeholders and personalities.
Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Analyzes claims data and trends and reports results to management.
Prepares recommendations to management regarding plan changes and modifications. Has in depth knowledge of ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act).
Directs administration of retirement, profit-sharing, thrift, group medical/surgical, disability and life plans. Stays up-to-date on benefit laws and regulations.
Works with Benefits consultants, brokers, trustees and any necessary legal assistance on benefit matters.
Ensures that the Company retains a competitive benefits posture in the marketplace.
Develops and delivers presentations for employees and field Human Resources.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
