Job Description:
Payroll Services Argentina is responsible for the administration of Payroll for approximately 200 employees, of taxes paid to the government authorities, that team should support our HR Operations in Manila for accurate and timely execution of payroll and remittances.
The position provides an opportunity for an experienced Payroll Professional to utilize their expertise to manage the key activities associated with Payroll and Third-Party processing (supporting a domestic and expatriate population). The incumbents will have the opportunity to be responsible for all aspects associated with the scope of Argentina Payroll and participate in local and global projects and initiatives.
They will actively engage in our local, regional, and global organization, utilizing virtual connects to build working relationships with key contacts, participate in and promote a culture of innovation and Enterprise First behaviors with a continuous improvement (CI) mindset, share best practices with the team and strive for improvements in service delivery and ensure accountability for evergreen end-to-end process documentation for business continuity purposes.
The incumbent will also liaise with a number of different internal (i.e., HR & Finance Service Centre colleagues, HR in Country, Policy Benefits & Services, IMTC, Employment Tax, Employee’s and Line Managers) and external (i.e. Government Revenue Agency) stakeholders in order to resolve complex cases and provide exceptional customer service, with support from HR in the country and their Payroll Manager.
They must ensure all financial controls and Data Privacy Rules are accurately executed to fully address the business risk in an environment with high dollar materiality and safeguard from Data Privacy breaches.

Accountabilities
Accurate and timely processing of payroll, off cycles/advances, and handling bank rejections / for Shell Argentina.
Adherence to executing Global FCM controls and local Operational controls to ensure accuracy and mitigate financial exposure and risk.
Analysis of complex payroll issues to prepare Year-End Adjustments ensuring accurate processing of year-end statements and remittances to the Internal Revenue Agency (AFIP)
Processing of payroll adjustments in order to update Argentina payroll for the Global Share Plans annual cycles (Performance Share Plan (PSP)
Responsible for ensuring compliance with Group Records Management retention protocol, preparation of Internal Audit reference documents and response to External Governing Bodies' requests
Analysis and preparation for Monthly Reporting for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including analysis and reporting of Control Learning Incidents (CLIs) and Payroll Accuracy Remarks.
Responsible for analysis and response of complex payroll / time inquiries sent via Salesforce case management system.
Documentation off all business processes (updated for legal, policy, collective agreement and pay practice changes) and ensuring the contents are evergreen for cross-training and business continuity purposes.
Participation in FI Backlog sessions and follow-up action items to ensure outstanding open items are managed in the financial records.
Logging break-fix, consultation and maintenance tickets with SOM Support when issues arise in Shell People configuration, with additional support required for testing configuration changes.
Validation of Expatriate Payroll to ensure trailing income processed accurately and correct set-up for taxation.
Execution of year-end activities, as required.
Providing subject matter expertise to HR Service Centre partners on payroll administration and compliance.
Participate in other operational duties or special projects and initiatives, as required.

Skills & Requirements
5 years of payroll experience in a large complex unionized environment with a solid working knowledge of federal/provincial employment legislation and labor standards, collective agreements, HR Policies & Procedures is required.
Functional experience working with SAP HCM/Payroll and MS Office applications is required.
Solid understanding of Controls Framework Guidelines and execution of controls. Existing business knowledge of Shell's HR Services Model and/or time and pay practices is considered an asset.
Strong interpersonal skills and experience dealing with a number of key stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple competing deliverables and effectively prioritize tasks to ensure deadlines are met is required.
Analytical problem solver, independent worker, and strong team player who is detail-oriented with an ability to work under tight deadlines and a significant amount of output required.
Exhibit a demonstrated ability to ensure a high degree of confidentiality, discretion and protection of employee data based on Data Privacy legislation is critical.
Knowledge of Legal reports is required
Knowledge of the Digital Payroll book is required
Knowledge of Argentina law is required
Knowledge of Payroll income tax calculation is required
Knowledge of the Workday system is a plus
Languages
English – Advanced level is required
Portuguese - is not required but it is a plus
Additional Information
This position will report to the Argentina Payroll Manager and will be part of the Global Payroll structure.
Location: Buenos Aires
The work model is the Hybrid Model (60% working from office and 40% working from home)
