Summary:
The Learning Leader will design and guide the implementation of the learning strategy and programs to support the business and shape our future workforce. This position will lead a team of learning professionals to track and improve service delivery metrics for key learning programs, delivering an excellent team member experience. In close partnership with talent leadership, this position will set a learning agenda to shape the skills of our workforce, enhance the company’s competitive advantage, and increase team member engagement.
Responsibilities Include:
Design and implement a learning strategy to drive the organization’s vision
Design a forward-thinking approach that will build, train, and sustain the workforce to meet and serve the current and future corporate goals
Influence and engage key stakeholders on learning solutions at all levels using Workforce Insights outcomes, demonstrating how the solution fits in with the overall business strategy and organization-wide priorities
Constantly assess and evaluate the effectiveness of learning and seek to improve the sourcing of learning content creation (in-house vs. external), internal learning operations, and the learner experience
Research and analyze trends in learning to identify opportunities for intelligent design, innovation and automation, linking outputs to what is happening in the business and wider industry
Critically review the learning catalog to analyze performance and budget to drive improvements and inform learning strategies
Monitor success of program and policies against ROI targets and adjust as team member experience and business requirements dictate
Manage the learning budget and reporting
Oversee a team and promote an agile and collaborative work environment embodying the vision to create learning programs that are innovative and keep the workforce ready for the future while successfully addressing business needs
Ensure a consistent worker experience through their learning ecosystem
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or related field. Equivalent work experience to be considered in lieu of higher education.
Experience: 10 years relevant work experience
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills with advanced knowledge of learning and instructional design systems
Communication Skills: This position is expected to communicate recommendations and strategically influence across a broad range of users, stakeholders, and management. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills required. Team member must be able to adapt their communication style for all levels within the organization.
Special Skills: Significant knowledge in learning strategy and instructional design; Ability to drive improvement and integration of processes, technology, and people through workforce shaping. Proven ability to manage large scale cross functional change projects using the defined Tyson methodology; Strong analytical, technical, and strategic skills to drive efficiencies
Supervisory: Yes, this person will lead a team
Travel: 5-10 domestic trips per year.
