Payroll Analyst I level payroll position should ideally be familiar with Canada Payroll processing. Will work independently to process payroll, run reports and satisfy any business needs of a particular segment of the business. This level position should be familiar with payroll concepts and be able to assist with all aspects of processing, tax, audit and payments. Provide exceptional support to all employee groups in their business unit.
Provides payroll support for assigned segment(s) of the organization and/or employee groups.
Supports team efforts to deliver payroll services to larger organizational groups.
Processes all payroll cycles.
Prepares and processes all time management files and integrations.
Verifies and audits all new hires, terminations and employee changes.
Reviews and processes all ad hoc payments including final pays, bonuses and allowance payments.
Works alongside tax in reconciling all tax payments
Processes all garnishments.
Coordinate with HR the effective and timely preparation of payroll processing which includes the proper administration and confirmation of calculation for all benefits and deductions.
Works with HR business partners and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy of all pay data entries Supports team and cross-functional projects within defined area of responsibility.
Engages on a transactional level with external services providers
Impacts the quality of own work and how it impacts the team.
Experience: 3 years payroll administration or similar experience
Education: Bachelors Degree
Skills:
Hands-on experience with payroll software – preferably Workday.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
