What We’re Looking For:
The Vice President (VP), HRBP will be responsible for overseeing the global Human Resources Business Partner function across 2U’s People Team. This team is responsible for providing thought partnership on human resources strategy, executing HR initiatives across the business and influencing the HR COEs to ensure HR processes address the needs of our managers, our people and the company. As the most senior business partner in the organization, the VP, HRBP will build strong consulting relationships with key business clients to help deliver on the people processes that will power their business plans and work closely with HRBPs to provide guidance and support. This role is located in our HQ in Lanham, MD or one of our 2U locations and reports directly to our Chief People Officer.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Works closely with the HR Senior Leadership Team to: (1) develop and execute human capital strategies to effectively support and enhance our business and (2) share accountability for the strategic goals and operational execution of the global people strategy across the organization.
Proactively ensures alignment between the people strategy and global business plans/ operational goals by consulting on a range of activities including recruiting, talent management, talent development, organizational design, change management, performance management, succession and workforce planning.
Drives, advises and executes on annual HR processes, acquisitions, integrations and other organizational change efforts by engaging the HR team SMEs across the relevant disciplines.
Partner with Centers of Excellence including Operations, Total Rewards, ER and Talent Leadership, OD and others, to inform and execute people processes, such as change initiatives, succession and talent development planning, performance, reward and ad hoc initiatives and projects.
Develops and manages a global team of Human Resources Business Partners to effectively advise business leaders, provide high performance service and drive accountability.
Continuously stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in the HR space.
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
10 years of progressive HR management experience, including 3 years in strategic HRBP roles
BS/BA required; Masters preferred; PHR or SHRM certification preferred
Broad exposure to a variety of Human Resources functions, including HR strategy, culture and organizational development, performance management, change management, employee relations, workforce planning and analysis
Able to establish a constructive and collaborative relationship with HR colleagues, employees, management and business executives
High level of personal integrity, ethics, initiative, and strong interpersonal skills
Broad business sense as well as demonstrated HR-specific competencies
Ability to present ideas in an easy-to-understand and engaging manner
Proven ability to challenge and motivate teams with a proven track record of delivering results.
Role model who fosters innovation specifically through creating an atmosphere of mutual respect and inclusion
High level of personal integrity, ethics, initiative, and strong interpersonal skills
Global HR experience highly desired

In Colorado, the anticipated base salary for this role is $200,000, with potential bonus and equity eligibility. Note: The final compensation for this position may consider factors including the geographic location where the work is performed (candidate’s assigned office) and prior work experience of the candidate.
