The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment processes. In this role, you will be working closely with various stakeholders to understand the needs of the business, while collaborating with your HR colleagues to identify and attract the talent Nova Scotia Power requires to deliver on its corporate strategies. All while providing superior customer service and delivering a positive client and candidate experience. This position will appeal to the strategic recruitment professional who is proactive and resourceful in nature and who enjoys building relationships, taking ownership of a diverse variety of tasks, can perform at a high level of competency and who thrives when working in a dynamic team environment. Your key responsibilities will include: Partner with Nova Scotia Power's hiring managers and HR Business Partners to ensure a thorough understanding of the position requirements and expectations in order to develop a sourcing strategy; Prepare job descriptions and manage postings on Nova Scotia Power's career websites as well as other relevant posting sites; Screen, interview, and short list candidates and ensure all interviews are scheduled accordingly; Build rapport, deliver excellence, and ensure a positive experience in each stage of the talent acquisition process including: sourcing, employer branding, client & candidate engagement and experience, screening, selection and hiring; Identify, attract, and source qualified candidates using social media platforms such as LinkedIn and other (online) networks; Responsible for implementing effective recruitment strategies to create talent pipelines, leveraging Social Media Networks and accounts for the company on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, encourage employee referrals Provide consistent follow up with internal management and candidates to ensure timeliness of the recruitment process; Oversee the administrative process as well as the applicant system (ATS - Taleo) and manage the background and reference check processes, salary negotiation and creating job offers; Prepare and process hiring transactions and documentation; Participate in networking events, attend job fairs and other recruitment events; Act as a brand ambassador and position Nova Scotia Power as the employer of choice we are; Stay abreast of talent acquisition trends and best practices; Analyze internal recruitment trends to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement; Take on other ad-hoc projects and assignments as directed. Skills, Capabilities and Experience: Post-secondary education in Business or Human Resources; 2 years of experience in Recruitment/Talent Acquisition with an emphasis on proactive sourcing; Experience in using applicant tracking systems (ATS); A power user of all social media; Results oriented and ability to meet deadlines; Exhibits excellent presentation and interpersonal skills; Skilled networker, with the ability to quickly develop and maintain working relationships and work in a team environment; Proactive, resourceful and a quick learner who thrives on fast-paced challenge; Ability to work with minimal supervision, to multi-task and prioritize.
