HR Specialist
The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of the many facets of Human Resources, with special emphasis on Benefits Administration
and HR/Safety
Compliance
related topics. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:
All facets of benefits administration managing annual open enrollment, addressing employee concerns, negotiating with vendors, analyzing costs/budgets, benefits onboarding/termination, organizing on-site wellness clinics
Managing all leaves of absence and other time off requests from employees (FMLA, STD, LTD, Military, etc.), including return to work procedures and requirements, accurate accounting of PTO, Vacation, Wellness Time Off, and Personal Time
Ensuring compliance with all CDC, federal, state and local requirements pertaining to COVID and other health-related concerns and administering internal process and practices
Administering background screens, reference checks, motor vehicle record checks, I-9 s, eVerify, and drugs screens
Maintaining OSHA and company-mandated reports on all accidents, injuries, and illnesses and handling workers compensation claims
Preparing and submitting compliance reports such as EEO-1, Vets and AAP
Supporting local and global safety programs leads local safety committee, documents safe work procedures, leads safety inspections, participates in global safety efforts
Facilitating company and employee needs related to international travel, VISA s, and related legal requirements
Researching changes in laws and regulations to analyze their potential impact on the organization and make recommendations to update internal policies and procedures
Conducting training on HR and safety compliance topics
Supporting or conducting employee relations related investigations where needed
Processing invoices in a timely and accurate manner
May serve as internal auditor for Quality Management System
May serve as member of Sustainability Team
Performs reception duties answering phones, monitoring team email inbox, receiving visitors
Position Requirements
Bachelor s Degree in Human Resources, Business, technical field, or related field of study
Prefer 5 or more years of related work-related experience
Strong customer service skills (i.e., building strong rapport, providing timely responses and solutions to questions and issues)
Strong computer skills Microsoft Office, HRIS/benefits systems
Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred Maintains confidentiality of company business information, company records, personnel matters and protected health information
