Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to support and evaluate the efficiency of the benefit plan strategy to ensure alignment with business objectives as established with the Benefits COE leadership team. This position will participate in the continuous improvement of all benefit plan offerings to drive efficiencies and improve the team member experience.Job Purpose/Summary:Identify savings opportunities and research alternative options for welfare plans; recommend benefit programs by examining, evaluating, and optimizing team member understanding and interests, costs, regulatory requirements, and competitive advantage.Participate in improvement initiatives and develop areas of opportunity to drive efficiencies and improve the team member engagementSurveys market data to determine company’s competitive position in team member benefits.Supporting all vendor renewal contracts in conjunction with procurement to ensure applicable contracts are routed through appropriate channels before execution.Collaborate with People Ops team to ensure consistency across applicable processes and implement changes where needed regarding welfare plan benefits.Monitor annual budget targets and identify significant activity in collaboration with the Benefit Lead and Benefit Leader.Establish cross departmental relationships to ensure the success of all plan administration responsibilities relative to welfare plans.Demonstrates ability to conduct independent research into new welfare plans and changes to insurance regulations.Collaborate with Communication Lead to prepare strategic benefit communications to ensure high level of understanding and engagement of the various benefit plan offerings and to maintain electronic benefit content materials.Support for SPDs, SMMs, SBCs, and other plan documents.Requirements:EDUCATION/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.EXPERIENCE: 5 years of specialized benefits, managing large-scale projects, implementing competitive benefits, and assisting with effective communications.Computer Skills: Requires standard computer skills, to include Microsoft Suite. Knowledge of SAP and Workday preferred.COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Can influence broadly on a formal and informal highly participative and intentional manner and build and maintain positive relationships across the organization.SPECIAL SKILLS (if applicable): Good research and analytical skills and knowledge of group health plans. Highly results oriented- strong ability to lead, prioritize, and strive to succeed multiple concurrent projects. Ability to mentor, engage, and partner at all levels of management and team members. Understands how to escalate & drive issues to resolution. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively; Must be detail-oriented and work well in a team environment and independently. Proven effectiveness at being flexible, creative, passion for learning, and results driven. Consistently delivers high-quality, timely work resulting in highly satisfied customers, internally and externally. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage competing priorities & deliverables in a fast-paced, dead-line oriented environment.Strong sense of urgency leading to the timely completion of all projects, training, and assignments.SUPERVISORY: NoneTRAVEL: 1-3 domestic trips per year
