We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Assistant to join our team in Glasgow. This is an active and visible role within the Firm requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills with Partners, Managers and staff, as well as the HR Advisor, with whom the post holder will work closely.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Providing admin support to the HR team
Responsible for managing the HR email inbox and directing queries relevant points of contact
Overseeing all aspects of the recruitment and selection administration process including:- advertising vacancies; liaising with recruitment agencies; organising interviews; liaising with applicants and line managers throughout the recruitment process
Conducting first day induction sessions for new employees
Issuing contracts of employment and offer packs, and ensuring all starters and leavers are processed correctly
Responsible for maintaining and updating employee records on the Firm’s HR & Payroll System
Assisting with monthly payroll inputs and processing
Producing adhoc departmental reports as requested by the HR Manager/HR Advisor, i.e. absence statistics, staff turnover, flexible working requests, etc.
Ensuring that employee holidays and other absences are recorded accurately on the HR system
Responsible for ensuring Trainee Solicitors meet all mandatory training requirements and that the required information is collated for The Law Society
Providing support to the HR Manager with any HR projects
The successful candidate will have previous experience in an HR administration role. They must be flexible, adaptable, and a team player. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
