As a Continuous Improvement / Agile coach you have a vital role to help individuals, teams and (senior) leaders better understand and embrace the new agile ways of working, embed the agile mindsets, drive business performance and cultural change.

NAM is an exploration and production company with authentic Dutch roots. Its headquarters are located in Assen in the Netherlands. NAM’s core business is exploring for and producing oil and gas, both onshore and offshore in the Netherlands and the UK.

What’s the role?
We’ll entrust you to:
Develop an agile foundation
Coach members of multi-disciplinary teams (squads) on agile mindset, values and ways of working
Launch new squads and/or self-managed teams and sets up delivery processes e.g. scrum, Kanban
Continuously develop and improve (new) agile methods together with other coaches
Promote sharing and adopting knowledge and expertise within and cross asset(s)
Build highly effective teams
Coach squad leads and an asset manager in writing clear quarterly objectives and key results
Support squad leads in facilitating agile meetings (ceremonies)
Facilitate ceremonies on asset level e.g., asset review, big room planning
Facilitate coordination and synchronization between squads where required
Identify and remove blockers together with squad members, squad leads and the asset manager
Create psychological safety within squads to reflect on performance and improvement areas
Support disciplines (chapters) in driving capability building & consistency, allocating resources and interfacing with squad leads and asset manager(s)
Coach O&M frontline teams to improve their performance and value chain integration
Ensure continuous improvement
Provide individual coaching to squad leads, chapter leads and/or asset manager(s) and support them in mapping the value stream and identify waste / opportunities
Hold-up the mirror to teams on their gap to potential and support them in defining gap closure tactics and driving performance
Coach individuals and shares feedback on personal improvement opportunities
Promote self-organization and team spirit within squads, chapters and asset(s)
What we need from you
You must have:
Customer-oriented mindset combined with a strong drive to continuously wanting to improve our business, culture and ways of working
Excellent interpersonal, communication and integration skills.
Knowledge of change management, structured decision-making and priority setting.
Awareness of agile mindset, values and tools/techniques
A grasp of the business processes and disciplines supporting an (upstream) production asset
Experience with the agile ways of working and coaching teams / communities is an advantage however not required. Successful candidate(s) will go through an internal (agile) capability building programme.
