Job Description
The Human Resources Generalist – Talent Acquisition Specialist
manages all aspects of recruitment and staffing for the hourly operating positions.
The Human Resources Generalist-Talent Acquisition Specialist reports to the Sr. Human Resources Generalist
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Responsible for supporting the full recruitment cycle for hourly operations positions (Converting, Paper Machines and Shipping) Advertising medias – social media, radio, job-posting sites, etc.
Manage Job Fairs
Screening of candidates
Managing and conducting employment testing
Interview processes
Manage the Background check process and pre-employment/post-offer drug tests
Leverage sourcing strategies to maintain a strong flow of candidates and tap into passive candidate markets
Maintain an awareness of emerging trends and best practices in recruitment, talent acquisition and HR
Responsible for other projects and tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree in a related field (Human Resources or Business) strongly preferred
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in full-cycle recruitment, preferably in a unionized manufacturing facility
Experience with recruitment software/computer programs including Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably CareerBuilder
Focus on building strong relationships with candidates and team members
Knowledge of State and Federal employment laws
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
Accuracy of work detail and tracking of data/information
Must have a high level of interpersonal skills.
Plan and organize your own work activities, manage work time efficiently, work independently
Partner with managers and employees to ensure correct skills and experiences are targeted when selecting employment candidates
Demonstrated accountability and responsibility for independent judgment and successful outcomes
Computer systems ability including Microsoft Office and other applicable software and databases
Key Competencies including: candor/integrity, influencing & building partnerships, team work, accountability, problem solving, and customer focus
